It unlocked after getting all the other medals, the last one I needed was the gigaton medal and was sitting with 97% game completion prior to getting the last two medals

Now im guessing it means the smaller amount, but do you mean you played 12 times using all of the different difficulties? Or Did you beat it 12 times each on every difficulty? sorry just had to ask = P

I will have to work on those achievements, only have 2 of them so far.

three times on easy four on normal and five on hard not in that order but I found it easier to unlock some of the achievements on hard and really there is very little difference between easy and normal

Finally got it at 13 completed runs, at run 11 got the 10000 units destroyed and then started to skip all the missions except Operation Nebula Blaze and the 2 ones near the end that have S battleships.

Really enjoyed getting them, gigaton was a little too much but i liked to try different weapons to get different results.. like on my last run I tried the maelstorm bomb wich is really nice and got to kill the 2 S battleships at the same time.. my surprise was that the guy on the acropolis had an expresion to go with it! "Both giant ships are down..wow it was almost simultanious" that makes me think theres a lot of dialog I havent heard even on all those complete runs.

Im a big fan of space combat games like Freespace and Wing Commander, too bad there is not much to choose from these days, I still have to check out Wing Commander arena and Battlestar galactica =)
