Wanna go to big town?

Do the banner achievements have to be done in one gameplay? (no saving and loading, etc.) Me and some pals were giving this a go last night and we got up to 12 unique banners, but none of us got the achievement for 10. Is it for host only or do you have to sit in the room as each banner is created? Thanks.

I have the same question and am in need of some additional banners.  Shoot me a FR so that I can work toward 200/200 as well, please!

The Friend achievement (collecting 10 unique banners) requires you to be in the game while the banners are built (I'm pretty sure your own doesn't count) and I don't believe you have to actually do it in a single game.

The World Traveller one just means you have to be in a game with 20 banner towers (not including your own).  You don't have to be there when they're built.

ok, that makes sense. Does anyone have a room with nearly 20 banners built that I can jump into and add one too?

As YaZeus said, you just have to watch 10 other players build a banner for the FRIEND achievement. To help others out, you can destroy and rebuild your own banner every time new player joins. Good luck to all and feel free to send me a game invite if you still need it. (Not tonight though, i got suckered into seeing Twilight tonight.)

This is a very good suggestion, and only fair if they're coming to help you with your banner tower counts.

Indeed. And if a player starts wrecking your town and/or banners, remember the host has an option to boot players. But be considerate and don't boot players right after they make you a banner.

Awesome.  I just got my World Traveler achievement by joining a game hosted by El Geeko Grande, who says he got it from you, iScar.  That was a VERY impressive collection of banner towers!  :)

The hilarious thing is I looked through them and found towers for myself and dajuse and YaZeus, so evidently we were in on a previous incarnation of that game!

haha, yeah i got it by joining LethalEdge's game, he had about 33 towers then. and once he quit it i stayed in and got it up closer to 50-60 towers, then left it to a couple other guys. lol

I'm definitely going to have to try to get on tonight and get some multiplayer time in.  Curious how other people's cities are looking too, since mine is just a hot mess right now.

Thankfully everyone in my game was pretty cool, ( well apart from one guy who destroyed some things but I kicked him :D )

But every time someone built a banner tower, I would save, just in case some moron would try to destroy them so I could revert back to previous save and the banner tower would still be there. ^_^

Thanks to all that put a banner in my game for the final friends achievement. Just need a few more banners so I can use my game to help others get the world traveler cheevo.

got all 200 in about 7 hours 50 minutes on my single player game, probably played about 10 hours online too so it's quite a nice length game, good stuff!
