Never anyone playing online?
I have yet to see a single online game for this!  I bought the game and the expansion.

Re: Never anyone playing online?

Its a shame because its such a fun game 1P and multi. Multi reminds me alot of Mario Kart, which I used to play religiously back in the day!

Re: Never anyone playing online?
I would like to play some Gripshift online, but also can never find a game.

This is a major problem with the arcade, top quality games just have no online play at all after a few weeks.

Here is an idea I had which I posted elsewhere

I had an idea regarding the Arcade games that have online components.

As it stands these are completely desolate after 1-2 weeks and it is impossible to get a game online (except with online games like Tetris, SWOS, Worms etc). However, a steady flow of people are buying these games still (even if its only ~10 a week) who could be interested in the online play if it was used.

Well I wondered if, when you go on your 360 whether you could go on each arcade game you would be interested in playing online and select "interested" and then go off and play something else, then if a second person comes a long the game could try and connect them together. You could select "interested" on several arcade games and then wait and hopefully get a game without loitering in empty lobbies.

Then you could get a "so and so wants to play Gripshift with you" type pop up like when a friend sends you a play request.

I am sure there is a good reason why this would not work but I reckon it would be great and could really revitalise the arcade online which would be a great thing in my opinion.

@zeppyjnr. Thats a pretty cool idea. The service badly needs something like this. Hopefully the right people are reading this.

Re: Never anyone playing online?
anyone wanting to play online, feel free to add me or msg me on live.  Its a shame that 99% of the arcade games suffer the same fate of having no one online after the acheivement *** get 200/200 in the first couple of weeks, or everyone moves on to the next title.  Once people figure no one plays online, they give up and stop trying which makes it even worse.  I like the above idea, and think some implementation of it would be great for not just arcade games, but all online multiplayer games.

Re: Never anyone playing online?

I love this game, but I'm the only one on my friends list that even has it!

Add me to the list of people to play multiplayer with...  Send a friends request and just a quick note that you wanna play some Gripshift.

this is true about alot of real good arcade games. streetrace is an example of a totally fun game that noone ever plays, such a waste when i look at all my arcade games that i only got for the multiplayer, and they never get played.

If anyone wants to play some online. Message me, maybe we can get some games going.

It does suck that you can't find a game, but I think thats mostly to people not waiting around for a game. Once people can't find a game, most of the time they don't look again.

I am up for multiplayer. Just bought the game tonight and love the single player. Wouldn't mind giving the multi a go.

I would pick it up in an instant if there was an online presence.

The limited demo left me wondering how the rest of the tracks looked.

Re: Never anyone playing online?
I watch TV and use picture in picture to monitor the multiplayer lobby. Normally, I'll play against one person in the afternoon, one at night. Sometimes I see no one - all day. I'm going to do this until I have the online achievements, so if you want to play online, I'm waiting...

Re: Never anyone playing online?
Looking at the player logs, I think the best time to play is between around 4pm to 6pm PST.
