I have just killed the last boss and during the final cut scene the screen goes black and nothing happens. 

Were you just watching the cut scene or did you try to bypass it?  I've had the game freeze once or twice when I was trying to bypass a cut scene that I had already seen.  Other than that, the game worked as advertised.
