I feel as if I already know the answer, but I'm just sayin'...seems like the dude does a whole lot more walkin' & talkin' rather than embodying the "run & gun" maelstrom this evolved from.

No, there is no run button. Apart from the fact you get faster when you get transformed into a strogg.
