Why is it you can not cross any of the main bridges to get to another town?

I tried to cross brokers bridge and the cops swarm on you quick and the gun you down. :(


How do you get passed this?

You just need to advance in the story, at the begining all the bridges are closed, but as u advance, more and more of them open up. You shud unlock the smaller island just off of broker when you first take Roman to a strip club, then you shud unlock the big middle island not long after that, when you do your first job with a guy named Playboy

You can still go over in a chopper (a gunship chopper can be found at the northern end of the airport) but you will get 6 stars! Every police and SWAT will go after you. Survive that for 5 minutes and you get the "One Man Army" achievement.

I don't think the choppers at the airport are available until you can get to the second island anyway.
