I've downloaded the demo. I see great improvements since the last one. But I want to know few things before buying it.

How many stages does it have? Is co-op the only multiplayer mode?

The game has 6 zones and each zone is 5 areas long.

Even though the the multiplayer is divided to 2 sections, normal co-op and zone battle, the only multiplayer mode is co-op.

I regret buying this game, its not horrible. It just doesn't do it for me.

Did you try to play it with a buddy? With some co-op games, that is where the fun is.
However, I was able to enjoy it with, and without, a buddy.

Yeah I played plenty of co-op. : ( like I said, just didn't do it for me.. not sure why.

I downloaded Assault Heroes 2 today and find it to be a fun game. Only problems I have is, I can't seem to find anyone at all to play some online co-op.

this game is unnecessarily long.  you will be mentally done and bored around level 2.  the first one is a much better game because it is shorter, cheaper and less laggy.  there is an achievement on this game that comes down to a lot of luck with the lag and it is about a 45 minute waste of time every time the lag scre.ws you over.  i wouldnt recommend this game.  it is fun at times, but it is too redundant for the majority of the time.
