Considering that this was alaunch title back in 2005, a surprising number of people still play. I can usually get in games with 4 or 5 people, sometimes even the max of 8. It's not all roses though. Last night (Saturday) I tried to play from midnight onward and could not find a single game in half an hour of trying, but that is rare in my experience.
I find the best times to play this game are evenings and weekends, that's when I usually find more people on. Definately worth $5, EASILY! The online matches for this game are to this day some of the most intense, fun games to be had.
Word of warning: leave your humility at the door! Being that this title is a few years old there are a lot of people playing online that are absolute KILLERS! When you frst start playing they will wipe the floor with you again and again. Hang in there though, once you've taken soem lumps and start getting better the game becomes the best thing since sliced bread.
