E3: Game of the Show

There were so many great games shown but my game of the show was one that didnt really get much exsposure and that is Just Cause 2. Yes really, this game looks freaking awseome and after watching this walkthrough and the new trailer, I could not be anymore pysched than I am right now.

I am very interested in what you guys thought, so get to talkin.

Re: E3: Game of the Show

Mass Effect 2. No question. If they just remade the first game, it would still be my game of show. It looks absolutly gorgeous, and all the gameplay I've seen has a very respectable framerate and a wonderfull vitality that the first one didn't have. Add in new species, new planets, new weapons, new vehicle, and so much more and I already know what will be my game of the year in '10. First runner up would probably be Splinter Cell: Conviction and then it's a close race between Just Cause 2 and Crackdown 2 (if I'd actually seen any gameplay for Crackdown, it wouldn't even be a question). Honorable mentions for Natal (a shame it is soooo far out), God of War 3, Assassins Creed 2 and Brutal Legend.

There ya go. >_>

So far my Game of Show has been Assassin's Creed 2. But then again I was really excited for the last one, and with all the repetative things in it, I was saddened it was only a rental. Just Cause 2 I hadn't seen until you just showed it to me, and that one looks like a very close second.

Conviction doesn't really look like the Splinter Cell I'm used to. Feels like it's grabbed onto more of the action roots. Still probably going to be a fun game, it's just eh.

I know we did not see game footage, but I can't help to be excited about Crackdown 2. This was my game of the show.

Re: E3: Game of the Show
I hadn't even heard about Just Cause 2 until I read this thread. The gameplay in the trailer looks incredible. Mass Effect 2 looks great so far. I just bought Assassins Creed on Steam, and I had forgotten how fun it is to just run around. The sequal should be good. Crackdown 2 has me really excited, I cant wait to see some gameplay. Other than that, I might actually buy Beatles Rock Band.

I cant really pick a best in show because there are just so many great games coming out.

i really don't have one game that stuck out.  i am looking forward to Mass Effect 2, Just Cause 2, Battlefield: BC 2, Assassins Creed 2, SC: Conviction, the list goes on.  It was nice to see such a triumphant return of E3.  But besides the games...I am really looking forward to Project Natal!!!!!

Oh and I forgot to mention Scribblenauts(for the DS) before, but wow that game is awseome. Being able to type tens of thousands of words and then have them show up on screen is so awseome.

Modern Warfare 2, without a doubt.

Crackdown 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 were the great "YEEES!!!" moments for me.  I love that it now appears that otherworldly things are invading the Crackdown world.  That's a great addition to the game for me.

I'm very excited about ME2 as well.  I've started going through the first again.

I think if Dead Rising 2 would have been there, it could have been on this list.  Doggone you, CAPCOM.

Unlike you I think that if the monster things in Crackdown 2 turnout to be zombies, my excitment level for the game would probably go down a little. Im getting so tired of seeing zombies in every freaking game I play lately. I hope the things in CD2 are somke sort of other monster. Like aliens in that game I think would be awseome.

I personally cant wait for Assassin's Creed 2. I absolutely loved the first one - the second one is going to be twice as good.

Beatles Rockband is exciting but nothing I didn't expect.

Revamped Splinter Cell Conviction blew me away.  I was skeptical with the initial concept but now I'm optimistic.

Re: E3: Game of the Show

Gotta be the Old Republic MMO. It single-handedly re-sparked my interest in Star Wars, something very important ot me, as I grew up loving it.

BTW, has anybody ever tried SW galaxies? Any thoughts on it....thought I might give it a try.

Re: E3: Game of the Show
There were a lot of great games but I have to say the best were Modern Warfare 2 and Forza 3.

Most of the games were just small previews, but both these games have great potential and will likely deliver, especially after seeing the MW2 gameplay and Forza 3 trailer.

MW2's mp is gonna be huge too. I can't wait for that.

Definitely Star Wars: The Old Republic...The trailer blew me away...Yes [Y]  It's a shame it's only coming to PC though...

360 wise, I liked MW2, Mass Effect 2, ODST, & SC: Conviction...So many sequels, not enough cash (gotta get that job) lol

I loved the new Star Wars trailer. I'm just sad we don't get to see the game on the Xbox.
