maybe there's a quota on the number of forums xbox can have at one given time. 
at the time the decision was made, xbox probably figured that more people would be playing hail to the chimp.  which they probably are.

Normally the developers have to request it I think. There's normally some sort of interaction between Xbox.com and developers before a forum is made. I'll PM one of the mods and try and get a more direct and informative awnser on this for you guys as I was wondering why there was no PES 2009 forum either.

good idea.  it's probably not worth it now though.  there's only a few months until pes 2010 comes out.  but, you could at least make sure that game has a forum right away!
but it would be nice to know why over the last few years this forum comes up only a few months before the new game comes out.

I sent a PM to one of the mods who is my friend but am still awaiting an awnser from the admin side of things.

well, keep us informed.  i think that it's vital for konami, if it wants to resurrect this series, to pay attention to its customers.  the same goes for xbox/microsoft.  back a few years ago, the forum for this game was a fun place to chat about the game and soccer in general.  now it's just bland.  the people who used to post here haven't showed up in a long time.  i miss the good ole days.

Surely they can create a pes2010 forum now?
