Went to E3, Played sigma 2
This past week has been one of the best I ever had because I was lucky enough to go to E3. It was one of the most amazing experiences thats accured in my life time. What was probably the craziest moment was when me and my buddy stopped to take a break an sat against the wall near the cafe, Itagaki had stopped right in front of us to talk with some developer friends he had met up with, literally just a few feat away. That was just insane. Besides that the main reason I'm making this post is to tell you about Sigma 2. If anyone's interested in anything else or has questions feel free to message me or ask here.So here's my impressions of Sigma 2.
I think the only thing that improved was the graphics. It looked really nice. You could see the fabrics in materials like Ryu's mask and other parts of his clothes and same with the enemy, that's how detailed it was. Of course you have other posotive things like new characters, which you could only play as Ayame and Ryu at the time, and more bosses, but Ayame to me at least didn't feel as good or deep as Ryu. I wasn't able to try the co-op cause it wasn't available on that demo. Blood was completely absent, when you kill or delimb any enemy, purple like magic essence comes out from the wound, wich in its own right looks good and slightly cool but it takes away from the feeling after a big fight and you see blood and guts all over the place and your like ya, I'm a bad *** f ing NINJA! Also it just feels like your killing mini genies and its just plain cheesy. Besides all that, the combat did not feel right at all, it wasn't as responsive to me as the xbox version and there was issues with fps with not that very many enemys on the screen either. It got choppier then chopsewy. Im hopeing the fps, choppyness, and non responsive combat is due to it just being a demo, but from what I played its not encouraging me that much to consider getting this game let alone a ps3. Who knows though it might be a totally new game when its released, or maybe Team Ninja needs Itagaki back. Only time will tell.

The only new weapons were on Ayame the dual swords, they were pretty cool but the overall feel of it is stated with the character on my first post. As for Ryu I'm pretty sure there was just the DS. I might be wrong but I think that was it.

I sure hope that whatever Itagaki will work on in the future tops Ninga Gaiden in the action genre. He needs to just start from scratch but keep all of the elements that made Ninja Gaiden fun intact.

BTW, how bouncy were Ayane's tigo bities :D

Sounds like you had an awesome time dude. If you think about it, It's only mimicking NGB without the blood so really no big deal there. We own the better version compared to that. Wink [;)] I think framerate is an ongoing issue with NG's engine and hopefully will be totally rebuilt for any future releases. You have to remember your own words, The graphics are rendered better because of more detail and no gore so this may be pushing the engine they are using to the limits causing the framerate to be bad. Just my thesis, it doesn't mean I'm correct. But PS3 got what they deserved, A watered down gore version of it's predecessor while we got ripped from co-op and extra characters/fiends. Talk about irony LOL.

Bottom line, nobody won! Consumers all lost!!! Thank you Tecmo!

Man, I'm jealous. I would love to meet Itagaki. He has some darn funny comments.

The absence of gore in Sigma make it look dull... Though it may not happen, Fiend Ryu should be an available co-op partner. Twice the madness.

Does anyone know if they are going to make a option to turn the blood on and off ? and I hope the added characters actually add something to the story im playing through ninja gaiden sigma and the added missions ain't really doing anything for me
