Well, if you want a refund, it's obviously you are not going to get it from making a thread about it. You need to call MS tech support or something of that nature. Even if you call them, I doubt it very seriously that they will give you a refund anyways. Sorry about your problem, but you will just have to deal with it. You will survive without the game, I'm sure.

Re: I Want A Refund
So not even being signed into XBL allowed you to play the game?  Isn't that one of the conditions for the DRM for XBLA / DLC???

Some games have an issue with it. They are suppose to work but they don't. Some of the original Sega Releases, like Streets of Rage and Sonic 1 have the same problem.

I have looked thru all my downloaded history and did not see Double Dragon at all.  I have been a XB360 owner since May '08 and have 600+ game listing.  I was peeved that when NXE came out that all the themes I downloaded did not work like the old ways (a different picture per tab instead of just 1 pic overall) and now this.

I'm even more peeved that a majority of the Arcade titles I have downloaded (Arkadian Warrior, Yie-Ar-Kung-Fu, Double Dragon, Rush'n Attack, and a few others) are up for "de-listing" according to the article mentioned within this thread.

I started game in the 80's on coin ops and XBLA was one of the major features for getting my XBox 360.  Now I found out that I have spent more money on a product that I will no longer be able to play?  So what will happen when XB goes hot with the new feature of "On Demand" that was announced at E3? IF this is how Microsoft is testing for it, I will stick with disks.

Re: I Want A Refund

My original console suffered a RRoD a while back and I realized that I had never transferred my Content Licenses. So I followed the directions at  http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/ and transferred all licenses to my current console. Double Dragon showed up in my download history so I redownloaded.  Lo and behold it downloaded and was working.  I was finally able to play it a few mins ago.

Re: I Want A Refund
So with the the de-listing of XBLA game titles I was wonder about games on demand and came across this article, http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-3157-Microsoft-Announces-Details-of-Upcoming-Dashboard-Update.html , at xbox360achievements.org for "Microsoft Announces Details of Upcoming Dashboard Update".  and I quote.
 xbox360achievements.org wrote:
It's Yours Forever! – As with other Xbox LIVE content, Games on Demand titles are linked to your Xbox LIVE account, so you can delete and re-download anything you have already purchased to the same console or another console.
So IF "It's Yours Forever!" why could I not play it before my license xfer? Why do others have so many problems? Mr. Bill Gates?  Mr Steve Balmer? Mr Robert J Bach? Anyone?

Why be so rude about it?  He deserves a full refund along with all the other poeple that have had this problem(which includes me).  We have tried everything and nothing works for it.  We paid for it so it should be ours until forever.  Thats like you going to gamestop or something and buying a game you really like.  A couple weeks later they come and take it from you without your permission and give you no refund.  I don't think you would be to happy about that.  I would bet you would raise hell about it.  We paid for the game because we all like the game, despite poeple complaining about the NES version being better it's still an all time favorite.  It should still be available on the marketplace and if not they should refund some MS points to everyone that bought it.

Nadda for Now.

Re: I Want A Refund
I've recently encountered the same issues when atempting to play Double Dragon. My 360 acknowledges I downloaded the full version but it will only allow me to play the trial.

I've called MS and allow me to share what "wonderful" help they were. Initially they ran me through a few troubleshooting steps such as clearing the cache, deleating the game and downloading it again, etc.., Then they suggested transfering the licenses but I alerted them, per the website, my licenses were already transfered when my 360 was in for repairs at the end of August 2008 and that it can only be done once a year. They verified that to be true. My case was elevated three times and now I am currently awaiting a phonecall with a solution. Being frank, the communication gap was evident but the person sounded as if he said the return call would be about a refund.

First they tried to tell me I downloaded DR on a different gamertag but, according to my downloads, I purchased TMNT before DR and TMNT works perfectly fine. I understand things happen but I paid for the game and all I want to do is play it.

Re: I Want A Refund

Update:

Just ended another call with MS support moments ago. They had me go through one last trouble shooting process which involved deleating my gamer profile followed by recovering my tag and a few things inbetween. None seemed to recover the full, already purchased Double Dragon. The woman said she has to elevate the case again and MS will be refunding my points in the next few days. She couldn't refund the points herself which is why it was elevated again.
