You're absolutely right on that. However, the "Saving the Chicks" was apart of Duke Nukem 64. Nintendo took a big risk with Duke Nukem, due to it's clearly questionable content at the time. They were seemingly cool with most of everything from Duke Nukem 3D - aside from 2 things. One of them being the ability to 'kill women'. That was a BIG no no for Nintendo at the time. So they compromised -- Duke won't kill them...so he can save 'em. Not a bad compromise really. However, Microsoft, thankfully, brought us the ORIGINAL of Duke Nukem...Duke 3D - infamous on MSDOS. So you can't "save" chicks in this version. Although, I will admit - it'd be fun to have an option - gives you more reason to play the game over. Get 100% on chick saving!
