I read some bad reviews about this game, giving it a low score.
I'd just like to know what people who actually played it think about it - is it really not a good game?

Bad Reviews.. ..?!!! All I've ever heard from gamspot and gameinformer is good reviews. But like most people there is the ones that like it and the one that hate it. The ultimate judgment is actually for u to decide wether or not this is the game for you. I need sum one to co-op with. so if ur ever gonna try it out for yourself give me an invite.

Just to let you know i have beaten it 3 times but it was done  on my friends councils.

Well gametrailers gave it 7.1 - it's not a bad score, but not the best either.
i read in some forum that many people said to "stay away from this game" - not sure what that means
Anyway, I'd just like to hear what other people who played it think - not judging it myself because haven't played it yet.

I will admit I avoided this game like the plague when it first came out but I saw it a walmart for 20 gucks and figured what the heck. I must say i have enjoyed what i have played of it so far the only thing I don't care for is the back to back move it just feels to scripted and you can not call on the move anywhere else but where it is triggered from what I can tell. Other than that the game is solid.

My opinion is that it's a pretty good game. Varied waepons, good physics, good for co-op, Multiplayer online seems pretty okay too. Not a great game, but not bad. I'd say if you give it a chance to play it through, you'll play it again.

This game has three versions which restricts the number of players.  Asian, European and US.  To get the most from the game you will need a coop partner.  The campaign is fairly solid and fun especially in coop mode.

The multiplayer requires 4 people and could have been great except I found for us down in New Zealand(we got the European version)that there weren't many players.  Fortunately I had three friends with this game and we have been having regular games.  I can't tell where you are located but if you are in the US you may have more luck finding games.

I enjoyed it, Played through it a few times alone and a few with friends. Its getting a bit boring now though. I think I would have been disappointed if I had payed full price for but I got it for £15 ish and it was well worth that.

Mass Effect 2 looks to be the best game EVER!

I agree that this game is short. My friend rented it and was able to beat it and then i got it from him and beat the game with time left to return it. So i would say rental unless u can get it cheap like i hear lots of people have.

this is one of the best offline games i have ever played... i bet the online is good too but not alot of people play online... played a couple matches online it is cool by the way... love the co-op!

Yeah it's definitely a good game. If you enjoy co-op then this game is excellent.

Has the odd strange physics error like shooting someone you can clearly see through a gap in a fence but they don't register what should be a direct hit but it's not a deal breaker (surprisingly) as it's infrequent and the great game play makes up for it.

A bit GOWish but without alien festivals everywhere.

Recommended.

Good.. but I would hate to have payed full price for it though... it cost me $20 dlls. So the price is right and you get free DLC.

Army of 2 is nothing short of a average game, EA hyped it up to be this next GEN smart A.I. computer partner system and it turns out your partner was alittle worst off. He never follows directions and when he tries to he is often put in harms way.... Customization of weapons added alittle replayablitly but its a slap on the wrist when it comes to the online play. I think this game deserved an 7/10 hands down nothing more nothing less.

I'll chime in here:
I also picked this up cheap & found it worth a play - cool co-op game to play with a buddy never tried online so can't comment there, has a few minor flaws but as others have said not really deal breakers (but then again what game hasn't these days).

Single & co-op will be completed pretty quick, then play on the hardest level will take a little longer - but the other thumbs up is two extra missions on XBL for free, which includes more cheevos & one of those will take a bit to unlock (killing dalton within a time limit - tryed this a few times before I got it)

Over all yeah good play.

I had a friend ask me if I had it, so I reneted it.  After playing it, I bought it and now, 2 other friends wants to play it with me.  I even started my own SP game. 

BUT...here's a problem, one of my friends who just bought it, is in England, so he got the "EU" version.  He looked in the manuel and it said mine and his version weren't "compatible".  Why is that?  What's the difference?  It's really bummed us both out, since we like to play co-op games.

Why does sitting around make you more tired?

 i don't give a rats quantum singularity what others will say.. this game ROCKS!!!! it has the best ai team mate i've ever seen in a game.. in almost every other game where you team up with ai, they mostly just stand there and get shot without you telling them exactly what to do.. personally i hate having to micro manage my team mates.. if they don't know how to act under fire wtf are they doing in the in a combat zone? as far as co-op, it rocks as well, but only if you can find a team mate that compliments your play style.. i like keeping the enemy focused on me, allowing my partner to flank them with ease.. i can't wait to get my hands on the sequel.. oh and if anyone wants to add me and play a lil' ao2 feel free.. just keep in mind i tend to keep the enemy focused on me..

the main difference is the server address that each version connects to.. multiple servers allow for smoother gameplay and helps to eliminate the lag that kills so many good multiplayer games..
