You heard me they announced battlefield 3 mc it's not bad company 3 it's battlefield 3 and they have apparently been working on it for some time. Can't wait for this to drop as ill be getting it for the ps3/360 respectivley

I'm happy for you, except Battlefield 3 is part of the PC sub-series, (1942, the spinoff Vietnam, BF 2, and the spinoff 2142) which is separate from the console sub-series (Modern Combat, Bad Company, the XBLA 1943, and Bad Company 2). Much like Call of Duty 1 and 2 running as a separate sub-series from Finest Hour and Big Red One, before they merged at Cod 3. What this means for you, is that you wont be getting Battlefield 3 on a console. Feel free to get Bad Company 2 on one though.

Yea im pretty sure BF3 will be coming out  for the Console according to that link...& yes I am also pretty sure the gameplay will be different than BFBC (BFBC is just a whole other game pretty much)

Hopefully BF3 is based off the MC series though...either way looking forward to that

i think the bf3 is going to be a bad company game though.not a modern combat(doh).
a shame they didnt do a game after battlefield/mc because it would have stolen ssome of cod's mc thunder i bet.

im sure many people want to play another battlefield game with modern weapons and tanks etc.and even with better graphics i find cod not as fun a time as i had with battlefield.

The 360 version is just a graphically upgraded port of the Xbox version, with a new physics engine and different medals and achievements.

We don't even know if Battlefield 3 is going to be modern at all. It could take place in the future, like 2142, or the past, like most older Battlefield games. Bad Company 2 is also coming out for PC.

they should bring out all the battlefields on xbox but actually make them good, e.g not removing a bunch of stuff like reviving and squad leader spawning (bf2 compared to bf2:mc)

Not according to that link i posted it will trickle down to the console because there's more money to be made off the ps3 and xbox 360 than the computer alone...... Stop talking about your stupid link that says nothing other than that it exists. There is no mention of consoles. The fact that its in the 360 section is simply because ign posts games on all possible platforms. Your supposed "proof" is nothing more than loose speculation. And that you keep comparing it to Modern Combat and not any PC installments of the series shows that youre not familiar with the series. To use my previous example again, youre the same kind of person who thinks COD: Finest Hour is the same game as COD 1 on PC, or that Big Red One is the same game as COD 2 on 360 and PC. Battlefield 3 is not a sequel to Modern Combat. It is a sequel to 1942 and 2. Do your research. Use the Wiki. Maybe youll be able to handle it if its already collected in one place for you.

I'm kinda curious....I would love a BF3 MC game to come out, but what do you consider Bad Company?  Does it not contain modern weapons?  Even if the campaign is a little different I'm pretty sure it has modern weapons and destructible environments, which CoD4 and other modern combat games don't have atleast for the consoles (I'm not a PC gamer).  In my opinion, a BF3 should be a futuristic shooter like 2142.  We have games like Halo and Gears of War that are futuristic, but I want a Battlefield futuristic shooter.  I'm not trying to cause an arguement, I was just wondering what everyone else thought.

The link you posted earlier says nothing about BF3MC it doesn't say "Modern Combat" anywhere in the link, so this topic is falsely labeled. AND not to even mention right beside the title it says Battlefield 3 (PC). Maybe you are not aware what the words PC mean they mean personal computer, as in NOT on console. Do not even START to tell people to "do there research" when you obviously haven't even read the link you posted YOURSELF, maybe you saw mentions of a console version, in the comments. But the comments are not from the game developers!

I understand you may have been able to misunderstand the ign article, but it is people like you that annoy me when proven wrong they fight about it. Not becuase they are not wrong, but becuase they cant take the fact they are being proved wrong, and have to make a big deal about it.

the article used to show "proof" of BF3:MC, even states at the top, "PC". IGN simply put the article in the wrong section, or they feel X360 players will be interested. Also, the article is about BF3, not BF3:MC. They would be different games, just like BF2 and BF2:MC are different games. I would be ecstatic if they did make it, but with them already making those frickin Bad Company games, it seems rather grim.

What on earth is wrong with you? Did you quote me having paid no attention to what I typed? Battlefield 2 and modern combat were NOT THE SAME GAME. Modern Combat shared the "2" to capitalize off of Battlefield 2's success. Obviously EA's tactic was successful on you. While they may very well employ such a tactic again with Battlefield 3, they may very well not, seeing as how they already have a sub-series of games going on consoles now, which they did not before. Furthermore the fact that you would imply your information is superior to mine because you play Battlefield, while posting on a Battlefield board, is absurd. Why would I be here right now if I didn't play Battlefield? Also, your gamerscore is under 2,000. Why would anyone listen to you. Yes I went there.
