I rarely see below 40 games online. So I'd say yeah, it's pretty active.

Is there a lot of people who play online Road Rage?
One of the previous updates reset me to zero rivals before I had reached the 50 mark?

It can vary. That's one of the things they should change, but at this point it's unlikely.

In that, at the game's initial release, you only had two online options (three if you count free roam). You could race or do challenges.

Now, you can do challenges, race, road rage, stunt run, marked man, and cops and robbers.

The problem is that while you can race instantly by joining a ranked, and have no problem finding a challenge room, a room consistantly doing any of the other modes is hard to find. You can only tell when a room is currently playing the mode (or already played it) but there's never any guarantee the host is going to pick that mode again.

While you could luck out sometimes and find a game or decent host, usually your best bet is to host yourself and just hope people don't drop out, but even that can be frustrating.

Criterion should allow you to create dedicated rooms - in the same vein as bike rooms - where you have a room that is, for example, road rage only with freeburn between games. No challenges or other modes allowed. Then you'd know what you're getting, and you'd get less drop outs.

Thanks for the answer
I  think they should change it even though they are unlikely to

When online, is it just me who gets annoying little kids screaming into their mics showing off their rides and asking you if you like them, asking what license you have, and just talking nonstop?

My best friend is Haywood Jablome, I do declare. However, Mike Oxawopah is still cool, due to his Russian heritage.

You know you can mute individuals.

Yes, but it's a hassle.  I just leave the game.

I got that a lot in Midnight Club (especially given all the customization), but very rarely in Paradise. I'd say I only get an annoying player maybe once every 5-10 games I join, and in those cases it's usually just an egomaniac or spouting racist.

Not anymore. Usually it were fun, but after Surf Island it changed. you usually find 1-2 players on most games, and when you join they usually kick you. Sucks, because before surf island it were usually fun playing. now you get kicked without a reason, and before ppl get a chance to kick you. Still a good game, but nowhere near as good as it were:( Tdu, or PGR4 is worth a try first. Tdu is open road, but in Hawaii. Pgr4 is arcade racing. STill recommend paradise before the last midnight club came though. it's still good, but it's only decent online atm.

Agree on Paradise > Midnight Club. It's Paradise's challenges that make a huge difference, since while it's not as team-based or co-op as something like Battlefield or Left 4 Dead, it's still technically co-op in that it requires you all to do tasks together, and so it usually means people are decent to play with.

I got this when I first started playing BP on-line.  I got so fed up, I actually started sending a message to the host thanking them for booting me followed by leaving negative player feed back. Smile [:)]

If people don't want you joining, they should use the features available and create their games as invite only or friends only.

This is one of the few games I actually enjoy playing on-line as the challenges are about co-operation rather than who has the best rank, fastest cars etc.

You can always find a decent game, you just need to work pass the booters and those that leave their game open and wander off to do soemthing else!

Always leave it at invite only when playing this game.

I'm sorry but I kick people a lot. but I try to only kick people that are just not doing a chalenge or, just being an quantum singularity.
