I started playing this game and for me it's hard to drift :(!!

what setup do u use? automatic? or manual?

im in manual, no assists when i drift atm. i use the silvia for remus, AE86 for freestyle and the subaru for downhill. i stick to the AE86 when its avalible in the other regions.

Turn off all the assists and go manual. You don't need a lot of speed, so you can usually keep the car in one gear through the whole round.

Take for example the Charger. I keep it in 4th the whole way around. That way you've got control over your speed and you also retain enough muscle to keep control of the car. Try it with the Charger, drive around the track in 3rd gear, then try it again in 4th, you'll see what I mean.

Although, the Charger is (for me) a BAD car to drift with. I like the Subaru, myself. I also find that the cockpit view really helpful.

Also remember that the triggers (if you're using them on the controller for your brakes and acceleration) are pressure sensitive. Use that to your advantage to control your speed. Pin the accelerator when you're about to start a drift, and your rear will shoot out. From there, just very lightly release, just a little bit. Give yourself a nice steady pace around the drift and you're golden.

If you find yourself spinning around, you're using too much throttle. If you can't stay in the drift, you're not using enough. Just gotta find that balance, and use a car you're comfortable with.

Well I use the Subaru alot, always have it in manual with the assists turned off.
Carry a good amount of speed into the corner, tap the e-brake and turn into the corner then release the e-brake and glue the throttle to the floor and then try to counter steer the oversteer.
But make sure you don't just hold the steering wheel in one direction.
I've noticed thast the steering wheel is never still for anything more than a second. It's constantly changing between left and right etc. If you hold it for too long in one direction you'll just spin out.

i just got the 99x multiplier achievement few days ago, just use automatic transmision+assist on and the honda 2000 , but i prever the mazda it's more relieble in corners ;)

Drifting is quite hard with steering wheel but basically you also have to keep in mind that your car only drifts when it travels sideways so spinning is a no go. Using the pedal's sensitivity is a great thing as then you can control how far you wanna travel in your drift. Manual transmission is also a great way to help yourself get a steady throttle and worry about other things than speed. I never use an e-brake, though, just a regular and it works too.
