I think your shout-out is in vain; I highly doubt that anyone having anything to do with this game reads this forum...

They may check out their own forums, but this game is over a year old, so IDK...

Hi,

There is a post on their forums at http://www.bizarrecreations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=16956

I posted in it there, but no one really replied from the company saying if the issue would be fixed or not.

Re: PLEASE PATCH THE SAVED-TO-HARDRIVE AUDIO GLITCH
The problem is now that Bizarre made the game, but it has been signed over to Microsoft.  They are the ones who would be responsible for a patch.

I wouldn't hold your breath though, they never patched the glitch that removed the dynamic shadows when the DLC came out.... that was almost a year ago.  Instead of seeing a nice shadows, now all you see are generic grey blobs.  If you clear your cache and don't sign into Live, you'll see what I mean.  The dynamic shadows come back, as soon as you accept the update, the shadows are gone.

The game was more or less abandoned from the get go, Bizarre was purchased by Activision during the making of the game and were no longer under the ownership of Microsoft.

For 1 week this has been driving me mad thinking it was my damn speakers!

Cant believe they have not fixed this...oh well running off the disc makes no difference, 2/3 seconds in load time is not exactly noticeable : )

Good! I was thinking the game needed some attention. The popping rev was one thing but then the music speeds up and slows down post race so yeah, get on it.

Even if MS has the rights to the game you think Bizarre would at least feel compelled to do something for their fans.

Maybe now that the DLC is the deal of the week there'll be some interest.

Re: PLEASE PATCH THE SAVED-TO-HARDRIVE AUDIO GLITCH
To me personally, it doesn't matter about the audio glitches. Before, the game would take sooooo long to load but i'd rather it load faster than having any audio glitches. If they patched it that would be great but I don't think they plan on doing so

Is there anything going on with the patching of the dynamic-shadows-problem or the sound-problem when installed on HDD?!? Would be great.

No, there's not enough interest in this game.  The other problem is the company that made the game is no longer part of Microsoft and they've washed their hands of it.

That's sad.
For my it's my first racing-game and for that problem a dissappointment. Almost everybody has problems with the HDD-install, but "...washed their hands..." is the correct expression. :-(

Re: Betreff: Re: Betreff: Re: PLEASE PATCH THE SAVED-TO-HARDRIVE AUDIO GLITCH
The only fix I can help you out with is the problem with the dynamic shadows.  You need to clear your cache and do not accept the update when prompted.  Clearing the cache gets rid of the patch for this game which did several good things, but one majorly bad one which removed the shadow's.

It's all pretty sad considering the original Xbox and the 360 launched with this series and now it's dead.

Re: Betreff: Re: Betreff: Re: Betreff: Re: PLEASE PATCH THE SAVED-TO-HARDRIVE AUDIO GLITCH
Clearing the cache is actually a function of the 360 and it's storage devices.  Keep in mind, if you do this it will clear out every single game update you have ever downloaded.  It will not delete your profile or gamesaves, but you will have to download all your game updates again... aside from PGR 4 if you want shadows back.

http://www.joystiq.com/2006/06/09/xbox-360-hdd-cache-clear-code-discovered/

With PGR 4, remember... do not accept the update when you sign on if you are connected to Live.  You will  not be able to play online with PGR 4 if you decline the update.

Long story short, it's not worth it.

Wait...that's a glitch? I thought my speakers were kinda broken. lol. It would explain why I just noticed that since I reinstalled PGR4 to my hard drive.

I'm so glad I saw this post. I returned my brand new HDTV last week, also got a new HDMI cable because I thought something was really wrong somewhere. Glad to know it's the game and not my hardware. Sad that they will not patch the problem. Major flaw in a really great game :(

Not only PGR4 has this Audio-glitch.
I have to admit that I smiled, when I first startet Fight Night Round 4.... Before the Fight, when loads of data is moving, the music stutters like in PGR4. Crazy
;-)
But it's not in the game itself, so I play FNR4 from HDD. PGR4 is only for CD-playing, or you really risk to get nuts.
