I played this game online since 2005 for the PS2.

Then bought it again after i got my 360.

This was extremely fun and it lasted for so long. Couldn't believe that people where still filling servers rite through to this year.

Well although it mite not be completely dead. I dont know for sure, all i know is that i tried to play today and absolutly no servers where on.

The game was empty all day.

So all I can say is.

I used to love this game, I played it right up until Bad Company release day. I can just remember the many hours I spend playing this - never really got any of the achievements though.

yeah i loved it on the old xbox. so i got it on the 360 right when it came out.  All these ppl who are saying to sign a petition on the EA website to fix BF2.  dont even waste ur time,  if they would of fixed BF2 they would of fixed it right when the problem occured,  not 3 or 4 months later.  BF2 is well never be fixed so enjoy it while u can cause pretty soon they'll just end all the servers. its just a matter of time.

I haven't been online in a while.  But one of my favorite games to play is "Battlefield 2 Modern Combat".  But tonight I realized I couldn't find a LIVE game anywhere.  I will try periodically to see if anything happens, but I guess I will have to send EA.com an email to see if they discontinued online service of the game.  The game was easy to jump in  or out of, and compete with a lot of people.  I hope they create another game similar to this one.


Here's a 40 ounce for my dearly departed homie, "Battlefield 2 Modern Combat"... we had good times together.


BTW,
  I still play other shooters like that game.  Holler at me if you know of any good shooter games that I can play online.

to me i dont see EA fixing BF2.  cause they got other games on their plate.  Only way i can join a room is join of my Friend List or try my recent players and that dont always work either.  Also if i happen to get in a room,  its always really really LAGGY.

I stopped playing this one when everyone and thier mother was getting into the glitches, It became pointless to try and shoot pppl under the map and overpasses. IT was a fun game but there is bigger and better out there now.

I wish they make another Modern Combat game.

I still play mine game but havn't bother messing with Online Play though I have heard on other sites that they quit running servers for this game because it was old game.. I guess they can't make anymore servers for newer games but they decided take old games off & use new games for them..

I still manage to get into games ok, it depends on the time of day mostly, during rush hours, most servers are full, thus finding a game could be dificult, however, if you go on to your recently met player list, most of the time you'd beable to find someone that's in a game that you can select "join in session" but there might be a slight waiting in line time.

there's still a good number of people that plays from what i observed.

Thats why i got Battlefield 1943.   Its kinda hard but flying planes is so much fun lol

The game hasn't completely died yet I went out and bought it yesterday and played it today.  If you're looking for ppl to play send me a message and I'll play it.  I played it on the PS2 then on the xbox when I got live and now 360.  It's one of my all time favorite games.

i could of got it yesterday when i bought my 120 GB Harddrive.  but i didnt cause i always had trouble joining rooms,  Really laggy servers,  TeamKillers and PPL who think it's so funny to shut the server down.   Seriously i'd rather play BF 1943,  its more fun to me than BF2MC.

Players currently online = 106.  So there IS hope.  Wow.  I thought they shut down all the servers.

MC almost is three games behind and almost five years old.

Well I really liked playing this on the old xbox so I thought I'd try it again on the 360 and I can't seem to ever get in a game and I don't have anyone on my friends list to get into games that way. So if anyone ever gets into a game please send me a invite.
