B. Single Player/Co-op - These are Single Player and Co-op achievements.

Completion Symbols -

Casual - Bronze Gear with 1 star below it.

You've never played a shooter before.

Normal - Silver Gear with two stars below it

You enjoy playing the occasional shooter.

Hardcore - Gold Gear with wings and 3 stars below it.

You know how to pull of a headshot.

Insane - Silver Gear with wings and 4 stars, (also a bloodstain)

You are a master of the headshot.

Tourist on Duty (25G) - Complete all campaign acts on Casual difficulty.

Just complete all of the acts on Casual difficulty, pretty easy. Also you can see the acts/chapters you have completed, just look at the symbol next to the chapter or act name.

Guerrilla Tactician (50G) - Complete all acts on Normal difficulty.

Just complete all acts on Normal it's still pretty easy.

Artist of War (75G) - Complete all acts on Hardcore difficulty.

This one can be kinda tricky, some parts can be very hard. Best to do this in co-op.

Suicidal Missionary (150G) - Complete all acts on Insane difficulty.

*Just complete the game on any difficulty to unlock this

Okay, now come the hard part. This is pretty hard to do I will give you some tips & tricks to help you complete this.

Tip's & Tricks

    * Best done in 'co-op' with a friend who knows what he is doing.
    * Stay in cover, cover is key in this just pop and kill what you see then go back down.
    * Take you time, don't just rush out there you will die quickly.
    * Conserve ammo, try to conserve ammo if you see a ammo box go for it.

Another way to get this is to have your friend start up a game, have him play it on Casual but switch your difficulty to Insane, this will make it slightly easier. kinda cheap but hey...

You can find many video guides if you are stuck on a certain part on Youtube. Also remember you do not have to play this in one sit-down, each chapter you complete it ill save and you can come back to it. Again just a reminder you have to train the rookie to get them complete story, it counts as a chapter. Good Luck Wink [;)]

Here are the Unlockable Characters

Insane Difficulty Complete the game on any difficulty
Character "Dizzy Walin" Complete Act One
Character "Kantus" Complete Act Two
Character "Tai Kaliso" Complete Act Three
Character "Flame Grenadier" Complete Act Four
Character "Skorge" Complete Act Five
Character "Anthony Carmine" Have the achievement "Completed Act One" from Gears 1
Character "RAAM" Have the achievement "A Dish Best Served Cold" from Gears 1
Character "Lt. Minh Young Kim" Have the achievement "Time To Remember" from Gears 1

Seriously 2.0 (50G) - Kill 100,000 enemies (any mode)

This one will take forever legit, any locust you kill counts towards this, ANY.  If you want to grind for this the best is Act 1, Chapter 4 and the beginning of Act 5, Chapter 5.

_____________________________________________________________________________

C. Weapons
- These achievements involve something with weapons.

Once more with Feeling  (10G) - Perform 30 Active reloads. (any mode)

Here is a picture of an active reload.

Perfect reload is pretty easy. When you need to reload hit (RB) when the white line hits the solid white bar tap (RB) again (this is usually followed by a retarded comment by the character.) This usually takes less than A second.

The damage is slightly increased by what i read (8%) only the flashing ones though.

Takes a Licking (30G) - Melee 30 Tickers (any mode)

Best done in Act 1, Chapter 5. In the tunnel you will see alot of ticker just pull out your pistol and hit (B), repeat 30 times.

Organ Grinder (10G) - Kill 30 enemies with a cover-mounted mulcher.

This can be done in any more. Campaign, horde, multiplayer. most horde or multiplayer maps either spawn the mortar or the mulcher. Just pick it up with (A) then take cover hit LT to mount is and spray away.

*Don't worry it won't replace any weapon it's a separate one you carry. But when you try to get your shotgun or whatever it will drop. also you can hit RB to make it cool faster.

Shock and Awe (10G)  - Kill 30 enemies with the heavy mortar. (any mode)

Pretty simple, this can be done in any mode really easy to get this on Act 1, Chapter 5.

Said the Spider to the Fly (10G) - Kill 10 enemies with A planted grenade. (any mode)

This achievement to some is confusing, A new feature has arrived in GoW2 where you can planet grenades. Just pick up a frag grenade or ink go up to a wall or face the ground and hit (B). This will plant it,. When an enemy comes within a certain distance of it,  it will go active and set it off.  Just kill 10 enemies like this and there you go.

Crowd Control (10G) - Melee 10 enemies don with the boomshield equipped. (any mode)

This is pretty easy, maulers have shields once you take down these big guys steal the shield from them, once you have it just go up to locust and melee them to death. easy in horde.

Smells like Victory (10G) - Kill 30 enemies with the Scorcher Flamethrower. (any mode)

This is again easy in horde, certain locust have flamethrowers and some maps have them lying around. Just pick them up and burn you some locust.

Variety is the Spice of Death (30G) - Kill an enemy with every weapon in the game. (any mode)

Here's the list -

    * Frag grenade
    * Ink grenade
    * Boomshot
    * Scorcher
    * Longshot
    * Torque bow
    * Mulcher
    * Mortar
    * Hammer of dawn
    * Gorgon pistol
    * Boltok pistol
    * Snub pistol
    * Lancer
    * Hammerburst
    * Shotgun

Crossed Swords (10G) - Win 10 Chainsaw Duels. (any mode)

This is kinda kind of cool, really easy in Horde the locust "Cyclops" are really annoying and will chainsaw you all the time, if you see them just run at them with your chainsaw out. Once this happens most of the time you will enter a chainsaw duel...it's like a mini-game. All you need to do is spam the (B) button as fast as possible to win.

A Parting Gift (20G) - Kill 10 enemies with a grenade while down but not out. (any mode)

This one is pretty easy. Just start up a game of horde go run for the grenades at the beginning of the map, let one of them down you wait till they get near you then press RT to...well you'll see.

Pound of Flesh (10G) - Use A meatshield to save your life 10 times. (any mode)

Apparently from what I have read this is semi-glitched (might have been fixed). It apparently can only be done in campaign, all you have to do is down an enemy then pick him up to use him as a meatshield, the key is to let the meatshield...run out. just keep him until he falls out of your hands, repeat.

Kick em' while they're down (10G) - Perform all 11 unique executions on a downed enemy. (any mode)

Here's the list -

    * Curb Stomp

When A enemy is down just walk up to him and hit (X).

    * Lancer Chainsaw Execution (2)

Regular: Just walk up to an enemy facing him and press (B)
Behind : Same thing but be behind the enemy.
[Bulled List]

    * Lancer Chainsaw Duel

Get  into a chainsaw duel and win, remember to press (B) as fast as you can.

    * 1-2-3 Punch (Beat down)

Just walk up to a downed enemy and press (Y).

    * Longshot execution

With the longshot sniper walk up to A downed enemy and hit (Y)

    * Boomshield beatdown

While you A shield walk up to A downed enemy and hit (Y)

    * Boltok Pistol Smash

Walk up A downed enemy and hit (Y)

    * Torque-Bow neck snap

Walk up to A downed enemy and hit (Y) (this one is awesome)

    * Shotgun golf swing

Walk up to A downed enemy and hit (B)

    * Meatshielf neck-snap

When a enemy is down pick him up by hitting (A) then hit (X) to snap his neck.

The Torque-bow and Longshot have A (B) one also, but they don't count.

Collectibles

See "sticky for Collectibles guide" - or search Youtube.

Photojournalist (10G) - Submit A spectator photo.

This one is really easy, in a horde or multiplayer match after you die it will go into a spectator camera, just hit (B) it should snap a picture. After the match is over go tot he main menu > war journal > photos highlight the photo then hit (Y).

Standing Here, Beside Myself (10G) - Win 3 matches of Wingman.

This achievements requires you to win 3 matches of the game-mode 'Wingman'. In this game mode you and 1 other person face off against 4 other 2 man teams, each kill counts as a point towards your teams score. First to hit 15 wins.

Beat the Meatflag (10G) - Capture 10 Meatflags in Submission

This is hard play Submission and take down the Meatflag pick him up and drag him to the area located on your screen. You have to do this 10 times.

It's good to be King (10G) - Win 10 matches of Guardian as the leader.

In Guardian 1 person is crowed the leader in this 3 round game-mode. As long as the leader is still alive your team will keep respawning. Kill the opposing team leader and take out all the rest to win. You have to be the leader and you have to win the round, you can die as long as your team wins it's fine.

Go Ahead I'll be Fine (10G) - Win 3 Matches of King of the Hill

KotH is a pretty simple game-mode, one area will be dubbed 'the hill' all you have to do is stand on it until you win. Defend the spot but remember the other team will try to take it back. just win 3 games of this.

Party Like it's 1999 (30G) - Played 1,999 rounds of multiplayer (any mode)

Many ways to get this it can either be horde or multiplayer (both private and public). This will take awhile just play, play and play. Win, Lose, Tie, Die all count as a round as long as it is completed.

Around the World Again (30G) - Play A match on each map.(any mode)

Here's the list:

Avalanche
Blood Drive

Pavilion
River
Security
Ruins
Stasis

Horde - These achievements have to be obtained in Horde Mode

Dirty, Dirt Horde (20G) - Survive the first 10 waves of horde. (any mode, any map)

This is pretty easy it only starts o get tough around wave 7 or so.

Hoard the Horde (30G) - Complete wave 1-50 of horde (any mode, any map

This is can be crazy, but just complete wave 1-50 doesn't have to be in one sitting but make sure you write down the one you left off on. Good Luck

Flashback Map Pack - Canals, Gridlock, Mansion, Subway and Tyro Station.

Just do 1-10 then quit and move on to the next.

More Mystery, Less History (15G) - Win a multiplayer match on each of the 5 Flashback Map Pack maps (any mode except Wingman)

Win a match any mode except Wingman. This can be done in private matches.

Bound by a Shared Past (15G) - Win a Wingman match on each of the 5 Flashback Map Pack maps

Grab a friend and play some Wingman, win, win, win. done!

Snowblind maps -
Grindyard, Under Hill, Courtyard and Fuel Depot.

Never Eat Red Snow (20G) - Complete waves 1 through 10 on all Snowblind Map Pack maps in Horde (any difficulty).

Just do 1-10 on each one.

Icy Dead People (25G) - Complete waves 1 through 50 on any Snowblind Map Pack map in Horde (any difficulty).

Best one is underhill, but you can do any. Also they do not have to be all at once or on just 1 map. You can switch off if you want.

Frigid Body Dynamics (5G) - Play a multiplayer match on each of the four Snowblind Map Pack maps (any mode).

Just go to multiplayer and choose the Snowblind playlist. You don't have to win just play a full match.

This one is the same, you have to win though. Get some friends in a lobby and go for it.

Combustible Maps - Fuel Station, Gold Rush and Flood.

Trial by, and on, Fire (20G) - Survive first 10 Horde waves on Combustible Map Pack maps as a team

Not sure what they mean by team, I did this one by myself. It is best to have a team.

Play any game-mode but Wingman on all combustible maps (3) and win. This can be done in private matches.

Annex: Now With Execution Rules (75G) - Win an Annex match on each Flashback and Combustible Map Pack map (public matches only)

This is was the hardest to me, here's what you do.

First make a list of all the Flashback Maps and Combustible maps. Cross them out as you knock them out.

Here's the list:

Flashback:

Canals
Gridlock
Mansion
Subway
Tyro Station.

Combustible:

Flood
Fuel Station
Gold Rush

Co-Op Maps -

One-Night Stand
(10G) - Completed 1 chapter in Co-op on any difficulty

See 'Friends with Benefits'

Open Relationship (30G) - Completed 10 chapters in Co-op on any difficulty

See 'Friends with Benefits"

Friends with Benefits  (50G) - Completed all acts in Co-op on any difficulty

You must complete all acts and chapters with a friend this includes the training mission for Carmine.

Get as many people in the party as you can (as many) once they are all in the lobby start up a flashback map playlist. This is where the people come in handy have them all immediately vote for Annex then for the map you need.
Do the same combustibles.

 Small tip for Annex would be to rush the power weapons (boomshot, grenades..etc)

A. We do not know much about this new chapter in campaign, in a picture we saw Dom and Marcus dressed up as theron guards so we think it's some kind of under-cover mission. I guess we will just have to wait to find out.
But apparently there is two ways to play this scenerio: "guns blazing or in all-new stealth mode."

Q. Do we know what these 7 new maps are?

A. We sure do!
  • Allfathers Garden: Honor the sacred grounds of the Coalition founders in this explosive map, where powerful weapons catalyze fast and furious action at this COG landmark.
  • Memorial: Set near the Eternal Flame, which pays tribute to the fallen soldiers on the battlefield, a hard-fought battle ensues at the Tomb of Unknowns. Putting their flank formation and evasive skills to the test, players will fight to control the Boomshot.
  • Sanctuary: Once a peaceful ground for reflection and remembrance, all that remains of the Sanctuary is the chill of death. Feast your eyes on the arsenal of weapons available as you make your way through the tight paths and blind corners of the Locust-damaged temple corridors.
  • War Machine: In the abandoned train station that once served as a hub for travel, players will need to master the Longshot, Mulcher and Boomshot weapons to advance the fight while evading fire from the platforms above.
  • Highway: Take the fight deep into the Locust Hollow in the complex passages of this underground highway system brimming with enemy vermin. Stick together, separate the enemy and have an exit strategy ready or it'll be a one-way trip.
  • Way Station: Sitting in limbo between death and "processing" are Locust way stations filled with fallen COG soldiers. Tread lightly and practice patience as it's better to sacrifice firepower for stealth while navigating this minefield of hidden grenades.
  • Nowhere: Set in the middle of what was once a destination for weary desert travellers, the land is now barren and devoid of life. Pick off your enemies with the Longshot sniper rifle and make your way to the stairwell with a well-fortified team during this intense firefight

Ok, thanks?
Having a high gamerscore does not equal you not having a life. Reporting people on an internet forum to a mod equals no life.

Not to everyone. Wink [;)]

I also tried to add more than just an achievement guide. So if you have them all or know how to get it, just don't read it and read the other information.

For party like it's 1999, does the pop up go away after you have so many? Last time i seen mine was at 1200 rounds and then played like 20 matches more and didnt see it pop up again like it normally does.

Just got it today but I think it stops after you hit 1999 rounds.

Doesn't the window pop-up every 50 matches? Just like Seriously 2.0 pops up every 50.

Gamertag change coming soon...when I get back from Thanksgiving break.

I'm just saying, if anyone of us without one of those symbols next to out tag would have posted this, it would not have been pinned. IF anything, it should have just been added to the already pinned GoW2 help topic.

No worries man the badge next to my name just means I have been on the Gamer Spotlight really has nothing to do with the forums. I did request it be added to Kinky's guide or kept separate but they decided not to, maybe they will maybe they won't.
