Im not sure if its just me but i had  4 bars on Quality and now im getting 1 to 2 bars after the new update last week. I have 7 megs down in net speed and my xbox is just 6 feet from my router. So anyone else having the same issue with netfix after the update?

you might want to go to www.speedtest.net and confirm that you're currently receiving max speeds.  If not, unplugging the modem and router for 30 to 45 seconds each will "soft reset" them and can be enough to restore lost speed.  If that resolves the problem (or isn't a problem) try visiting netflix online and having it test for speed.  Are you the only one on your connection?  Things like Teamspeak client and Torrent programs suck the bandwidth and might be affecting your 360's connection.

ya i have my ipod touch that has the speedtest.net app on it and when i put the ipod 2 inches from the xbox its getting 6 megs down. But i tested it through out the day and its mostly slowing down between 5 pm to 8 pm on the westcoast. And during the other times im getting 4 bars so i have no idea why in the time between 5 and 8 im getting 1 to 2 bars.

How much slowdown is it showing?  As a side note, you need roughly 5.5 mb down to maintain 3-4 bars on Netflix, if you're experiencing a slowdown from 5 to 8 pm, that's "primetime" when most people use their internet (the get home from work between 4:30 and 6:30, surf, check email, watch their streaming Netflix, kids do homework, etc.)  It appears reasonable to me to explain the issues you're having... if it's particularly troubling you might speak to your internet provider and see about stepping the speed up to the next tier.  Where I am, 20 mb/sec down costs about $70 and for the amount of use I put on it, I couldn't do any less.

well during that time i ran the test and im getting a steady 5 to 6 megs from the xbox location and im the only one using the net at that time. Its almost like netflix at that time is on overload from the end of xboxlive or netflix. Its like everyone is on after work or during dinner watching netflix so the server is slow on the netflix/xboxlive side. ALL my other devices work during that time its just trying netflix on the xbox that it slows down to 1 to 2 bars but sure enough around 8 and on it goes back up to 4 bars.

I did have Verizon out to work on my lines so im good on my end and netflix works ok on my laptop so its something with xboxlive and netflix

I had a slow down issue to night with Netflix/360 viewing.   I ran a speed test and verified I am getting my 20/5 FIOS speeds.

If there's no actual drop in measured speed, then it's probably network congestion between you and the Netflix server. The speed you're measuring to a server may not be the same speed you'd measure to a different server located some place else.

ya its just all over the place at those times, but i guess i can just do my netflix watching after that time
