Halo 3: ODST Collectors Ed.

Might Ape (and I guess others) started taking pre-orders for the Halo 3: ODST Collectors Edition today.

Yeah, kinda pricey but I'm a sucker of this sort of thing.  An exclusive, laser etched Wireless Controller and access to the Reach beta - bring on September 22nd.

Anyone else getting this?

I don't know if I need another controller but ODST looks good and the Reach beta will be worth getting.

ODST is on my must buy list aside from being Halo is the voice talent being used...firefly anyone!

Thats super-sweet and awesome! Anyone know an approximate price for the prestige edition? I want some night vision goggles for night-time escapades. And just to look like a knob.

So Halo ODST includes all the halo 3 multiplayer maps
Including the 3 new maps
-Citadel
-Longshore
and that other one LOL

or is their going to be different maps?

US$150. For us Aussies, that's looking like the equivalent of A$200+ (based on other products priced at that).

But they're already allowing preorders on this over in the US, and there's been no mention just yet of it coming anywhere else. Combine this with the fact that both Australia and New Zealand missed out on the first Modern Warfare's collector's edition, and I'd think it's not a certainty that it'll actually see a worldwide release...

You get two discs - one with the campaign and Firefight mode, and the other has the currently-released map packs (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic and Cold Storage) and the new 3 maps so you can play Halo 3 multiplayer with both Halo 3 gamers and people playing via the ODST "Halo 3 maps" disc.

That Sounds awsome, can i ask .. What is firefight mode? i read on bungie that u can use SGT. Johnson on Firefight mode if you get the Special Ed

Think of GOW 2's horde modes hot sister dressed up in a Halo dress.

Edit: Not sure if that makes any sense to anyone else. But Firefight is similar to Horde from Gears of War 2.

If you pre-order from EB Games you'll get a code to unlock Johnson in this mode.
