How many HVTs are there and do they ALL have to be alive?

I'm not sure exacty how many HVT's there are total, but they all show up on your map within the first few missions of each different faction, and they don't go away even if you're hostile with that faction. I'd like to know if I can still get the achievement if I waste a few guys on accident as well

The achievement (Aces is High) means you have to capture all HVTs alive.
That includes the ones in the missions (General Peng(Chinese Faction), Blanco and Carmona)
The other one related to the HVTs are to verify all of them.

Have fun keeping the Chinese HVT's that the AN want alive, a few of them are surrounded by tanks, helos, APC's grenade spamming infantry, that don't seem to care much about colateral damage...

Well, I'm back in Colorado, but on a dial-up connection. So this is what it's like to kick heroin.

I intenionally try to keep them alive i pick them up and walk them to a safe a area but some how a random grenade or something has maganged to kill them. So i gave up on worrying about keeping them alive.

If you hit the back button, then go over to the one all the way to the right, then down to score, then progress it will tell you how much there are total, how much you got, and for which faction.

Ok here's my problem , I followed the xbox360achievement guide and went through the Chinese until the last level then did Americans but The hvt on both teams come right before I have to destroy the bunker so either way I have 1 left for a faction it was really pissing me off at 2am. What the hell is going on? I did what the guide said. (already have capture all of them , I need the verify hvt achievement)
