Excellent. Good find!
I may need help with someone to test this on. I have not had a chance to play much of Overlord yet, but this doesn't seem to hard. I understand the method, but I would rather have someone help and explain the method.

RicAlmighty wrote:Thanks again!Where did you place the greens? And if I can ask, how did you deal with the fact that the barrels keep respawning, or was that not a big deal?
I would be willing to make a tutorial myself (I have a capture card), but I haven't popped in my disc of Overlord yet.
DAMOLITION wrote:5 minutes in and its going well!Seems to be a solid and easy to do stratergy. Congrats on finding itIll come back later and tell you how it went.
I also have had some trouble doing this. I just cannot seem to get a good strategy going. Anyone willing to help out?
it dosen't work.
i get in the corner and put the minions where you said. now this works for 20 minutes then when your minions attack the rats this attracts other creatures e.g rock troll this comes over and smashes all the crates and 24 minutes of creature all run in. i have tryed this several times and this dosen't work. F%!^$&

I have to agree. The closest a friend and I got was around 36 minutes, but the rock troll notices us every time.
Cause I cant edit anymore sorry for the double post.
But sort of confirmed you can get the survival achievements with co op on just one xbox. Just got the 15minute survivor achievement on this map. =)
Received the achievement earlier today. I found this to be the best tactic.
Have your friend or yourself grab 20 greens, while you or your friend spawn 20 browns. Head to the spot as directed, and take around 5-10 minutes powering up your minions by breaking the barrels (the greens first) at the green spawn, but keep your minions and overlords as close to the corner as possible. Then, position minion markers in the corner (as far as possible) and wait with both you and your friend's minions). Never make an attempt to grab more minions even if yours die out, unless you really need to.
During the wait, we unintentionally attracted rock trolls and normal trolls along the way, though they were not too tough as long as you spare your Berserk spell long enough to use it multiple times. Occasionally, the greens would jump out to kill the rats. Eventually they would also attract a rock troll, which is where the browns come in. Retract the greens, and send the browns in. Have the browns (or both brown and greens, but browns only works much better). Kill the troll, then call them back in. If done right, you should have not lost any greens or less then 3. Repeat as needed.
Eventually, as you progress with more time, the rock trolls health doubles, and if you notice health decreasing very slowly when you encounter one, have your friend use his minions against the giant as well. That is the best advice I can give.
Excellent work! I would say this tactic worked for me as well (read above post), with the exception of a rolling creature crashing into the corner of my minions.
halo put it on youtube you gt capture card

EdgeCrusherHalo wrote:finally got it today along with the 30 mins survivor achievement and let me tell you how it worked for me. im wondering if greens are actually the best choice because they attraceted some unwanted attention but it still worked for me. i was playing split screen and manning both controllers. i put both overlords in the corner as close as possible. i got 20 greens for one and 20 browns for the other. i put markers as far into the corners as well. at every 5 minute mark, 10:00, 15:00, ect. the greens would jump over the wall to kill the rats. and always right after this happened a dwarf would take notice and come at me but the minions killed it. this was all good until around the 30 mins mark when my greens decided to jump unusually far at a rock troll. i got really lucky in that he killed a quarter of them and the rest ran back and nothing followed them. then out of nowhere a little while after that one of those rolly thing srolled out of the darkness and right into my corner killing several browns and greens leaving me with 8 greens and 16 browns. we killed it while it was on its back and from then on out it was just rats every 5 mins minus the dwarf this time until the 45 mins was reached. so basically once i went in the corner i didnt have to press a single button aside from helping kill the rolly thing. i think it might go a little smoother with blues instead of greens or maybe even nothing else just because it seems like the greens get antsy and just jump at things randomly sometimes. also i noticed when i ran out after 45 mins that all the big stuff was jumbled up in the opposite corner as this one which i think is why this strategy works.
Disagree with you, the more green the better. You see greens jump OVER the barrels, browns smash them on their way through. And although its true that when the greens get attention when they are jumping as soon as they return to the corner enemies lose intrest. When the browns have smahed the barrels the enemies will keep coming till the barrels respawn, and all the commotion will probably break the next set of barrels anyway.\
The barrels are key, they are what makes you undetectable to all but the rats. With the barrels broken the enemy has line of sight to your position.
Thats why i used the 40 green method in the blue and green spawn corner. There is very few standard dwarves in this area, mainly slower units such as large trolls and large dwarves. Sounds bad but it is an advantage: They are slow. Unless they are at the very corner of their walk route they will be unable to reach you before the greens finish their job on the rats and are back safetly behind the barrels.
I should of stated in my method up the page, aside from the rats i had NO confrontations with the enemy.
