I hope that does happen, they need a much larger selection, it is so small right now.

We met with Microsoft shortly before the NXE launch for an official tour and demo, and they confirmed that there is no technical reason why it cannot be done, but they would not confirm whether people are doing it/are going to be allowed to do it. I think we users all see it as an extension of the gamerpic -- and those have been bundled with games or achievements or what have you, so why not Avatar clothing the same way? I think the missing piece is knowing how much value MS places on them, and whether this idea would conflict with their alternate plans for the Avatar store when it launches. Hopefully not, hopefully it's a value-add thing.
For some odd reason I also hope that if it does go into effect then they also have older developed games retro in some for people that have completed their games/achievements...
Not sure why I would want that.

When 360 first came out and the idea of achievements and gamerscore was introduced to us, M$ had said that, eventually, they wanted your gamerscore to have some sort of value more than for bragging rights. Insted of going the PSN route, and charging real world money for clothes and accessories, what if you could use yous gamer points to unlock or purchase stuff? Of course along with unlocking stuff via an achievement system in some games. Even to be able to gift stuff to friends so I can get Azzy his silly halo and get him to shut up about it.

That'd be pretty cool...... but what about guys like me? I really don't game for the GS because I really don't have the time. It'd be great for the hardcore gamers, but what about the casual? Yeah, we're the lame guys who everyone caters to and we tend to tick the hardcores for dumbing down the gaming world, but we also got a say.Why not, oh I don't know, make it truly customizable? Like perhaps the ability to choose our own colors? Add shapes or even pictures? (Copyright infringement ftw, but cool all the same) Or... what about making it as customizable as RB and RB2? That is perhaps the 2nd longest I've ever took customizing a character behind Oblivion. This way would please both the hardcore (by playing to their endless amounts of time or copious amounts of attention to details) and the casual (who just want to see a black Xbox shirt or a picture of their dog on their hat). Just a thought
