does that mean planting every plant, tinkering everything, master romancing everything, bonus growing plants, and alot of others things.
if so i dont think i can
but im pretty sure patty has
If you follow the checklist in the journal (the heart of the game tasks) then you will get to 196 (or whatever it turns out to be) eventually
I don;t think anyone has been playing long enough yet to get the highest level (except maybe the devs). It takes a long time to work through each and every task for every pinata and plant. There are even still some players in VP1 that started playing Day1 and have not yet hit 108
I know OffensiveGmrtag hit it, some others were close last time I checked
I plan to, just 100 more to go lol

As I said, devs etc are the only ones close or hitting that right now because they were playing it a good month+ before release as part of testing :)
OffensiveGmrtag is part of the XBOX Staff
I plan on getting there as well ... the achievements just fall into place if you try to play to the end
That's amazing to those who did it already. ::bows in awe::
I don't think Tinkering gets you experience, does it?
What is the complete list of things that gain experience? As far as I have seen, the things that gain XP are:
for every species, meet all their requirements, ranging from unblock requirements from some species, appear, visit, resident, romance, and become a master romancer. (This includes romancer and master romancer for all the flutterscotch varities, and appear/visition for the tamed sours as well)
Grow the special pinatas to maturity (choco and dragumfly)
For every possible species, make the 3 variants.
Tame every sour
restore all of the pinata records
Grow every plant to full maturity
Are there alot of little things this time around as well? That's everything I have noticed. For example, you don't get XP for teaching a pinata a trick (that increases the value of the pinata), or making a wildcard or twins. Which makes sense, or else you could level up without a top limit.
yep, just use the checklists in your guide - each checkmark represents XP
Fuzzy, don't forget the new computer records checklist too :)
Remember, you can get "Master Romancer" by having the Hunter grab all 7 pinata of the same species without ever having to romance them once. But you still need to romance a species at least once to get the "Romancer" title. So to speed things up have the hunter fetch while you romance for each species.
Also, I am finding that reaching a high level from plants alone I have allowed pretty much every single species to appear almost in random/sequence. If I had to start all over I would have lvled by romancing pinata cuz once you do that you can block them from even appearing allowing the other species that you are trying to catch to appear more frequently. For example, last night I was trying to catch the Galagoogoo and noticed he would show up at night but so would other animals like the canine species and the skunk so I decided to master romance those species in order to block them out of my garden and sure enough I got a lot more Galagoogoos to show up more frequently.

xenocidic wrote:they could help towards master romance, no? scan 6, romance 1?
fuzzyrocket wrote: xenocidic wrote:they could help towards master romance, no? scan 6, romance 1?Oh definitely I was naming the things that the camera could not help you rank up with. People who take short cuts with cards still have to go back and get the pinata to appear and visit then romance them at least once to get gardener points to reach that top level.
fuzzyrocket wrote:Everyone who knows anything about Viva Pinata, knows it is not about getting 1000/1000 gamer points, but reaching the highest gardener level. It looks like the max level in trouble in paradise has been bumped up to196. For now I on level 75 but I will make it to the true end.For the few that have truly completed the game, or those who plan to chime in!
after reaching 1000 in this game i do not have an urge to play this game anymore as i did not enjoy it as much as other games that i still play for fun after getting 1000 on them (cod4 and gears)
fuzzyrocket wrote:I think what you listed about covers it. Everything that is in the journal gives you points. Plants, pinatas, and tools. I will use the journal as my guide as I did the first time through. However it will not be quick process for me, as I am verifying the guide as I go.
Hey, I just realized. I am accidentally checking your guide too. :) I am pretty much playing solo, and during the first time I work with a species I go through the complete process of making it resident to becoming a master romancer, I teach one of them both tricks, and I make all 3 variants. This is why I am noticing the little things here and there.
LlamaDesign wrote:Sorry, getting 1000/1000 and every pinata is my primary goal for this game. I don't care about all the plant bonus growth or master romance awards.

Nautius Maximus wrote: This works fine for me anyway I like getting pinatas from friends... I still have my "Visitor Garden" from VP1 (and I think you're represented in there if I remember :-D). But bottom line, I would not want this or the cards to spoil my experience of resolving the various requirements for advancement.
