I heard a rumour that the servers were to be turned off for Overlord 1 with the release of Overlord 2 around the corner. I couldn't find anything official so I emailed Codemasters.

Heres the repsonse.

"Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning Overlord.

Due to the age of the game, Overlord will shortly be no longer playable using the in-game browser for multi-player, unfortunately.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused"

Looks like it is time to get the MP achievments now!

And the follow up email said that there was no date set at this stage but soon.

you mean no more online play with Overlord?
I haven't gotten a chance to get the rest of my online achievements :(
can this be played split screen? I'm not by my 360 right now or I'd check myself

Is not possible to ask them to make it possible to get the achievements split screen? Reason I ask here because I don't really know who to direct that question at.

hey everyone don't panic.  Another user has followed up and it appears the server shut down applies to the PS3 and PC versions only NOT xbox 360.  As you were and sorry for the panic. 

I'll see if we can get a mod to lock this thread!
