Is there any way to integrate my room from the standard PSU online room to the AOI version without deleting my character and starting him over ?  Or, am I just gonna have to use the decorations that are limited to non AOI room.   If so, how do i know which ones are not compatible without buying them to find out ?

If you bought AOTI go to the second floor on Guardians Colony. Go to the room decorations shop. The first on the right with a yellow door. Then buy one of the new room tickets from the robot guy.

After you bought the ticket go back to your room. Talk to your PM and click rearrange or redecorate something like that. It will then ask you for the room ticket you bought. Give it the room ticket and it will give you a aoti room.

You got it.  Non-AotI rooms can only support original PSU decorations.  I can't really think of any reason to want to stick with a PSU room when there are more options with the AotI rooms, but if you really want to hold on to it, you are indeed stuck with the older room decorations.  You're good up through the halloween dec and the Sonic characters I believe :)
