Does anyone else find the NON-RPG mini-games and the fact they are required for achievements in an RPG rather annoying?
I stopped playing this game like 2 years ago when I missed the Wagon achievement. Ok, so I've come back to it, because well, trying to finish out some of the games I own before buying to many new ones. Plus, otherwise I kind of like the game. I finally did get that wagon achievement. Strangely, I did not have a problem with the 6th group, but always with the 5th group (tiger front left, rat middle right, rat back left). Eventually I managed that one in the most unorthodox manner. I used Field Barrier, and waited on the right weher the middle rat would appear (by the tree and stone). When the rat popped and died I ran down the right side and around the back (catching the rear rat in the barrier) and then ran up the left side to the front arriving in time to get between the tiger and the front wagon. That doesn't match any guide I have ever read or tried so I thought I would offer it up here.
Seriously though, the mechat one seems like it was more luck than skill (yes practice does help) but even with that the controls are bouncy at best. Are the other 2 mechat perfect as annoying as the first one?
I really hope if they do another Blue Dragon they skip the non-RPG achievements. I don't mind the mini-games if they didn't have achievements for them. After all, I wanted an RPG, that is where the achievements should be, not on some other game type.
