its not possible on paradise to play co-op on the same console, imagined in the next burnout with higher graphics.
IMO I think they  should make it possible on The Pc Version of paradise  that is coming out, for does people with really high gaming pc,

I don't see a Paradise 2 to be in the plans. Criterion has a great base with Paradise and should keep working on add-ons (like the island) that will grow the map to something completely new. After enough of these updates I can see them releasing a new disc with all the content on it so people without Live or an HD can get the same experience. What I am getting at is that Paradise will coexist with whatever Burnout games come out after it.

No, they shouldn't.  Paradise is a pretty cool game for bring a new idea into the franchise, but in all honesty, what made it special was the same thing that turned a lot of gamers away from it.  I think the next game they come out with should bring back the old formula, but until then, they should stick to updating Paradise with a new cars and such.  Once that's worn itself out, that should be the end of it.

Re: should thay make burnout paradise2
I think criterion should have gimmicky vehicles as optional dlc only, or they risk watering down the gameplay.

As far as #2... well, let's talk about what would make a sequel worthwhile for both oldschool Burnout fans AND Paradise noobs.  They obviously can't make a sequel successful just by adding 80 new vehicles, nor can they scrap the "new formula" to win back the diehard fans of the "old formula."

What kind of locales can they put in the game to add depth to the events?  How can the thrill of the beauty of wrecking be expanded (replay cam, hint hint)?  What song can they put at the title startup that won't quickly become obnoxious?

And... discuss!

Re: should thay make burnout paradise2
If they make another Burnout, they need to bring back Crash Mode, and add in an option to restart an event. I think they should also have some linear races and road rages, like in previous Burnouts. But above all, less blurry graphics on smaller televisions. If the next Burnout has those features, I am definitely buying it.

Yes, those linear events had a certain je ne sais quoi, didn't they?  For the next game, maybe add like a super rage or super race, kicking the cars into a super burnout mode for some wicked fast, linear super event.

Super.

Well it's already been done in previous Burnouts. I wouldn't be surprised if there were splitscreen in the next Burnout.

It would have made the upcoming "Party Mode" more fun, imho.

Splitscreen is not in "Party Mode"? How the *** are you supposed to have a good party at your house without splitscreen?

Re: should thay make burnout paradise2
If they make it exactly like Burnout Paradise, I don't know if I'll buy it. Burnout Paradise is a good game, but Burnout 3: Takedown was my favorite one in the series. They need to bring back the linear races. The whole "drive around the city to figure out how to get from Point A to Point B" isn't my cup of tea. I found the game to be extremely frustrating, and I haven't really played it since I got it.

Another thing that annoys me about Burnout Paradise is how you're forced to download all of the DLC to play online with everyone. Not that I don't mind downloading stuff, but it's taking up well over half a GB on my HDD. If they include everything on that upcoming rerelease disc (and not make it a code that you download), I might trade in my old copy for the new version.

Re: should thay make burnout paradise2
i wouldn't mind seeing a mix of the old and new formulas...i really enjoy being able to just cruise around a city with no real destination...but having races on closed circuit tracks is cool too.  kinda like SRS on the original xbox.

No they don't need a Paradise 2

I look on the website and there is like 6 packs coming out in 09 all they need to do is make expansions ( like Big Surf
Island) and there is no need to make a new one

Besides no one needs it, but I bet there are a lot of people looking forward to the next Burnout game...that will hopefully be freeroam.

Regardless of whether it's possible or not given that Paradise is an open-world game, the fact that Paradise didn't have any way of playing 2-player (let alone more) on one console was incredibly disappointing.

I definitely appreciate them doing something different for Paradise than just repeating the past games, but the Burnout franchise wouldn't be where it is today if not for the multiplayer modes - which all allowed for multiplayer on the same console.

I know there is this unfortunate trend where despite coop being more prevalent in games there are fewer and fewer games that allow multiplayer on the same console (why can you not play partner mode in UNO on the same console, for example) but Burnout should retain this.

Some people still actually like playing with people in the same room instead of the often immature retarded random strangers (I once got kicked from a Paradise game just for mentioning Midnight Club).

Re: should thay make burnout paradise2
I think for the next burnout game (Whatever the title may be) they should include the best of both worlds.  Include an open world game where you can drive around, have friends join, do challenges or races, etc.  However, for races they should put the old turn here little walls with flashing arrows on them so the game is more about intense racing, not navigating.  There should also be an option to restart your last mission.

Bake me a cake.
