This is a merger of the two popular Famous Pinata threads.
I decided to merge them together as some people have been voicing to me that it's confusing on where to post concerning if you have the Pinata or if you are looking for it.

The purpose of this thread is:

If you want to know how to obtain the Famous Pinata Achievement:

Please read the below post

If you are Looking For The Famous Pinata:

Please post that you are below, once you have gotten the Achievement please send me a Private Message so I can edit your post to let lenders know that you no longer need it.

If you Have the Famous Pinata and are looking to be a lender (or have people join a co-op garden) rather then just pass it on:

Please send me a Private Message so I can add your name to the lender list

This way we can keep track of how many we have to lend and people can gauge off of that how long it will take for them to be gotten in contact with by a lender, this also will make it easier on the people who do have it to know who needs it.

A "Famous Piñata" may be waiting in your VP's Post Office

Rare is quite keen on the viral marketing these days. After the Piñata BelieVa campaign, now they repeat their infectious achievement from Jetpac in their new release, Trouble in Paradise.

Like with Refuelled, one of the many Viva Piñata Xbox achievements can only be unlocked by interacting with other users that previously got it. This time, instead of a multiplayer match with somebody, you’ll have to get it by receiving a crate with a ‘Famous Piñata’ from an infected user.

Yesterday night, Rare’s James ‘BIGsheep’ Thomas, started expanding it by sending a Goobaa -obviously- to a group of selected people from the main Rare fansites, including MundoRare.

“These piñatas will unlock the Achievement for anyone else you trade them to, and anyone they trade them to, and so on,” BIGsheep explained. So, from this moment, the achievement will start spreading out with our crates full of candiosity, and hopefully you’ll all get it soon from a friend.

So, you know what to do: if you’ve already bought Viva Piñata Trouble in Paradise, don’t hesitate to send some species to your contacts, and maybe you’ll get a Famous Piñata in return!

This question has been popping up a lot so I might as well address it here.
To get the Famous Pinata you need to either; have it sent to you by RARE, have it sent to you from another person who got one from RARE (of course you would need to check and see with the sender if you can keep it), or visit someone’s garden who has it. Though the last one will only net you the achievement.
When you send a Pinata to parties, dress it up, feed it candy. Sometimes you will get a notice that it has become Famous. This is not the same thing, sadly this is totally different and somewhat confusing as both are called the same. Please keep in mind that a true Famous Pinata cannot be created within your own garden. You must have one sent to you by RARE for it to be the one needed to unlock the achievement.

Note to Lenders: Please let me know if you would rather contact people on this list yourself, or if you would rather them contact you and how, I can post this information here along with your name.

Note to Borrowers: The lenders have their own rules on what to do when you have their Pinata such as; feeding it Happy Candy or how long you can keep it for, HOWEVER, as a general rule of etiquette please make sure you Do Not Sell the Pinata and have a garden where there is No Risk of Pestor smashing it.

Contact Info: You can contact the user by PM when ever you see them online
User Rules: User will only be doing Co-Op garden

3) SDgirl85 - Famour WC Tigermisu

Contact Info: User would like you to contact them by PM or Live Message and send a FR, User will also be watching this thread for any posts.

User Rules: Do not keep it for too long

Contact Info: Send message stating you need the achievement.
User Rules: User will be doing Co-Op garden and lending the Pinata out to users with the rule that it be sent back

Contact Info: User would like you to send them a FR and a message stating you need the achievement.

Hrm, I didn't deny it, but when my friends list is full, the website will tell you it has sent a request when it really failed because my list was full.

you're fairly high up on my list so if someone doesn't get to you, I should hopefully have time this evening.

If you send it from your xbox it will tell you, when you send it from the web it just pretends that everything is A-OK (lol) I've created a gamertag to help me with the overflow.

I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could give me in obtaining this achievement. I'm not normally bothered about gamerpoints, but the original VP is the only game I've ever made the effort to get the full 1000GP in, and I've become a bit obsessive about getting the lot on this one too!

I need the famous pinata. I have posted on Xenocidic's blog but he's got a lot of people to service. I can send it back immediately. I play this game with my girlfriend but she's going to law school and we can rarely get time to play. I'm trying to get the online achievements ASAP so that we wont have trouble getting 1000/1000 later when we have more time.

Thanks a ton. The VP community on these forums and on private forums is THE BEST game community out there. For some reason the typical a-holes don't pick up the game and there are tons of dedicated and smart people who do.

Just a friendly note from your resident Pinata Forum Mod:

Please remember that this game has been wildly sold in large numbers and for this site we currently only have 6 lenders. I'm not going to bother doing the math, but will say that this has kept them very, very busy.
Please note to yourself that if you send a FR from this site it will appear to go through to the lender. This may not be the case as the site is unable to tell if the person who you are Friend Requesting to has a full list and did not get your request.
Also please remember that it takes time for these people to get online from whatever they have going on in life if it's school, work, or just life activities that keep them away from their console and it may take some time before they are able to see your message, of course older messages are answered first as they would have been the first to come in.
Then you have to wait for the Pinata to come back before they can get to the next one and get to your name.
These people are doing this out of the kindness of their hearts and the love of the game, nothing more. This isn't their job, or their duty. I ask that all members of our community to please be patient. Please do not call out or insult members of this community just because it's taking longer than you would like to get this Achievement. I'm not saying this has been done before, as it hasn't, just clearing my basis and giving warnings and information now.

i sent my FR through my 360, it would tell me they have no space. just would of liked a "got it", "too busy give me a week", etc. that takes like 5 seconds with a chat pad. i get all kinds of questions from people i do not know and i answer everyone back promptly. im just stating a friend told me to send a FR to that person since they recently did and got the FP in record time, i felt ignored. no sweat Beer [B]
