NinjaBee just announced today that on July 8, Avatar support will be enabled in Band of Bugs. You'll be able to play as your Avatar in the main campaign (replacing Maal) and in the Spider Hunter multiplayer mode. There's more info about it here on NinjaBee's blog. Also on July 8, NinjaBee is releasing DLC for Band of Bugs called Tales of Kaloki. It's a mix of characters and space ships form Outpost Kaloki X and tactics and characters from Band of Bugs. It adds a new tile set, a new story, new skills, new strategies and a whole bunch of other cool stuff. Check it out when it comes out July 8, along with the Avatar update.

Just as I was planning on getting back into this game and buying all the expansions you decide to add more! Fantastic work guys.

Now I just need to fix the fact that the licenses on my alternate account wont transfer using the tool on the site...it just jumps straight to the congratulations page despite not working and stating the next time I can do it is on the 26th June 09 which has passed!!
