Re: Songs from an Ipod
The songs have to be DRM-free, so if she has any iTunes tracks that were purchased through the store that are DRM'd (i.e. locked down with electronic rights management, most iTunes songs purchased before this year are unless you have upgraded them), then they won't play.  Only non-DRM songs, such as MP3s or the latest songs from the iTunes Music Store, will work.

The songs won't come up with lyrics.  Lips has the lyrics/videos programmed into the disc or DLC.  Added in songs are just the song playing through the game for you to sing along to.

Hey thanks for your reply, i was thinkning that they might have been locked.

Is there a list of what colours represent what?  ( Ie locked songs?) because she has over 2600 songs in her library and when scrolling through the songs there are different colours.

Hope this makes sense.

To be honest, no idea.  I haven't yet tried this with my iPod, but I will try to remember to try it tomorrow and see if I can figure out what you mean.

Yeah it makes sense. The colors represent the genre of music the song is.

And I have a question -- why aren't any of my songs usable? I bought many DRM-free songs from iTunes recently but when I put them into Lips none of them had any sounds. It was all silent.
But strangely, all of my podcasts worked. I'm not gonna sing along to those though :-P

Not sure what formats Lips supports.  It may only support MP3 and WMV or something like that.  The stuff from iTunes is MP4.  Though it is DRM free, Lips doesn't support it.  One way around it is converting the tracks to MP3 and then you should be able to use them just fine.

Well, I don't have a IPod . Due to the fact that I already have a Zune. the game seems to play all of my songs just fine.
