PGR 5
I've had a scout about the net but can't find anything recent to do with the making of a possible PGR 5.  Does anyone know the fate of the PGR series?

I really like the PGR series, and have considered it my fav racer for quite a while.  The likes of Forza 2 don't seem to have the same appeal and always seem a bit gruelling.  I used to love the Gran Turismo series on ps2 but PGR has somewhat converted me.

I can't even think what i'd like to be in the next one - i suppose my expectation would be for it to look better, maybe some different cities or possibly some rally stages or something.  I don't want them to bring out a PGR 5 if it's going to be a half assed wee jobby.  I guess i'm just after a new PGR with busy multiplayer and new challenges.

Thoughts on this anyone?

Later this year the makers of PGR (BizarreCreations) will have a new racing game come out called, Blur. All I can tell you right now is that its PGR with weapons.

Good advise skimd. I rented Grid for a week last month with my new 360 console purchase and was amazed with the gameplay and car physics. It was really tough taking the game back to Blockbusters after that rental week because the online gameplay really captured my attention. Codemasters did a great job on this 360 release imo. I just received a free copy of PGR4 yesterday with a 12 month Gold subscription but not enough money right now to purchase Grid. I will say PGR4 is rather fun to play for a racing game. Only played offline so far. Here's hoping the PGR4 online gameplay impresses me like Grid does. Even if the MP doesn't deliver I believe PGR4 will have a home in my 360 Games Library. So if you're tired of playing PGR4 these days take skimd1965's advise. Give Grid a whirl. You won't be disappointed.

I've been looking to race against other online on PGR4, but can't find any...
I think most people are saying that GRID wipes out PGR4 totally, I agree to this. I definitely hope a PGR5 is released! :)

I can't wait for a new PGR, I just hope the new developers making it do a decent job. Bizarre creations did 5 good games before they stopped and its a shame they are not doing the series anymore.

It is a shame, but in my opinion PGR 2 was the best while 3 and 4 were total let downs.  From the way things look and the lack luster sales of PGR 4, there will not be a 5th.

You try searching Wikipedia. I think I read something on there about a PGR5 and how it may not be made by Bizzarre.

Re: PGR 5
I was told that PGR5 would be taken over and developed by Turn10, the same people behind the racing simulator Forza Motorsport. Now, there hasn't been a whole lot discussed officially, but it is known that Bizarre are not the holders of the franchise and hence won't be continuing it themselves. I've seen the trailer for Blur, and while it does not graphically nice, the whole electro-waves and attack avenue just doesn't seem appealing. I guess we will need to see how it unfolds for both these titles.

Re: PGR 5
You should check out Forza Motorsports 3 it looks like it controls more like PGR4, and the graphics are amazing! But, PGR is my all time favorite racing series so a PGR5 or even 6 would be nice.

While I agree on PGR 2 was the best out of the series I dont think however that 4 was a total letdown
It just wasnt up to 2 level but I enjoyed quite a bit

Re: PGR 5
I agree. Looking back at PGR4, it wasn't bad - far from it actually, but it wasn't the best racer. Still, I'd recommend it to other gamers because it is easily accessible and there is much fun to be had.

It's not up to Bizarre, it's up to Microsoft.  MS owns the PGR series, Bizarre just made it for them.

Re: RE: PGR 4 memorial movie
Last time I heard the pgr series will have died with the last installment. I would be very excited to see if they make a comback, only if it is made by the same studio though. If it gets pushed over to someone else, I can almost with 100% assurance say, it will not live up to any of the other in the series.

Bizarre Creations (maker of PGR) will not be doing anymore PGR games. The next racing game by the makers of PGR will be out in October and will be called, Blur. Please dont ask about PGR5 anymore until you see it on the shelves.

Who are you to tell people not to talk about the future of the PGR series. people would enjoy another game and can talk about it if they want.

Re: PGR5
I hope now turn10 are doing PGR they don't mess with the driving controls to much, i'm all for the extra paintwork design, but i hate realistic driving sims and having to do perfect driving lines, braking zones etc.
