Can I touch you? Lol jk.  I'm still having trouble getting their soul gauges red, even with the best skill set on my currently edited Maxi.  I have 190 gauge points & 145 Impact points to spend and have Soul Gauge Damage A in slot 1, Master Impact slot 2, Run Speed Up slot 3, and since I'm on level 8, using HP Drain B in place of the awaited Soul Gauge Vamp skill that I'll insert once I hit level 9.  I'm hoping that the Vamp will make the difference.  I've even tried modifying him to where his ATK is as low as it can be...96% so that I'll have more opportunities to whack without overkilling them.  I shelved this game a long time ago but thought I'd pick it up again.  The skill stuff and trying to mix and match them is addicting...but I'm still a 2D fighter at heart.  I am trying my best to give 3D fighters a chance.  Any tips on how to instigate Soul Crush/Critical Finishes?  One of the threads that I searched in suggested using Maxi's X,X,Y,B combo over and over again?  I've been trying that to no avail.  I think I only have 2 critical finishes overall and those were done months ago when the game first came out.

I've finished the 100 Soul Crushes, but I still have 27 or so Critical Finishes to go (completed 73).  I'm utilizing:
 Double-Edge Sword
- (constant) Increase the rate at which Soul Gauge gains and loses.

and

Soul Gauge Damage A - (constant) Large increase in the amount of damage on the opponent's soul gauge when opponent blocks.

while fighting in the descent of the Tower, but they do not seem to deplete the Soul Gauge quick enough before the bad dudes are knocked out in the normal fashion. Any tricks would be appreciated.

Got it.  I went to Story mode, difficult level with the above settings and just played through it about 6 times. I was averaging 3-5 Critical Finishes per story mode.

I'm at around 20 left for critical finishes as well and i found the easiest way to do soul crushes is to get Yun-Seong and give him soul damage A and when you fight just hold down --> and B (Y button) and you'll soul crush them easily ^^

Easiest way I found without boosting is Tower of Souls Ascending floors 18, 19, and 20.  They autoblock almost everything.  Pound away until they break.  Performing a critical finish on the the final enemy on floor 20 is how you get the treasure there anyway.

Yun sung's Forwrd Forward Y always weaken the enemies defenses enough for me to use his critical finish, make sure the second the critical is enabled you already have you finger on the bumper.

I have both the soul crush and critical finish achievements but I have alot more crushes than criticals. CF can be dificult for me because I dont have a button dedicated to A+B+K+G (X+Y+B+A) i have to manually press all four buttons which can be tricksy in the heat of battle....Anyone else get the Equal skill and power achievement without looking it up on the internet...I did and it was a dificult balancing act which took a long time...some friends did it fast cause they cheated and got a "recipe" from online :(

Where do you go to see how many you have left to do to get an achievement? I can't do either of those moves nor do I know how.
