OK, this might be a really stupid idea but I thought I'd make this thread for a couple of reasons:

1) I know that a few of you are currently playing and going for high scores. It would be great to give each other moral support and to generally see how you're getting on and:

2) I miss this community so much! I remember a time when this forum was a hive of activity and I've made so many good friends from this one game.

Well, I've yet to start my game, but when I do I will be doing some rather large BPMMCs. I just can't get the courage to even begin.

I want to try my 1.4 and my 2.9. Maybe even oldtaco's 2.2 if I feel like a challenge.

I'd like to see oldtaco's 2.2. Do you have a pic or hbb link to it? To add to this thread, I was working on one of epezent's 46bil SFMMC, had a grid collapse while I was waiting for the bomb to trigger it and only scored 440mil. I truly am a noob. I'm going for 100bil, looking to do two SFMMCs to get there.

I only have the 2.2 trillion design because I was able to figure it out myself. It's up to oldtaco to show it to everyone, and I doubt he wants to just yet. I will say though how I came across the exact design. Try to match his score in the MMC calculator and you'll realize that it wasn't just black pearls he used in the design. Use that to help you design it. And good luck with the 46, it's really one of the best starter MMCs out there. Grid collapses suck...

Ok, I completely respect that. He'll probably show the world the 2.2 when he does an even bigger one. You know, I actually did use the MMC calculator to figure out the pieces he used, but am not at the level of proficiency where I can replicate the design just yet...not even close!

well i *** up on my marathon game by some how double tapping a bomb when i wasnt trying to double tap and making it unreachable. it was both a curse and a blessing. Sucked cause i didnt reach my goal, only got 3.6 trillion or somewhere around there. It is a blessing cause it was becoming where i could only justify doing single drop 64-93 billion sfmmcs making the game too easy and redundant. 2 drops are random and I was tired of hoping they would cluster right, and any thing smaller than the 64 seemed like a waste cause it was the same amount of multis but usually half the points. but now i can test some 2 drops again and try for my own 2.9 trillion bpmmc and my current goal is to get over a trillion in time mode(faster paced making even easier mmcs like the 74 a little more difficult), but i am currently only at 74 billion and 3 multipliers away from adding 74b more to my score.

That's a shame mike! Nice score though, really nice. I don't think I could have lasted as long as you did. Good luck with your 2.9 trillion! I'm curious as to weather it looks like any of the 3 I have.

how about using-being out of the top ten for a while-to give you some courage to test your 1.4 trillion mmc in your guide, cause if you dont you  know i will

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not doing anything today, my girlfriend is in New Orleans so I might have some time to pull it off. It doesn't look hard at all really.

Believe it or not I started a new game recently, and on the off-chance that I decide to keep going with it, I set my score at the end of level 6 so that a score of 1,101,010,101,010 is possible.  I never liked the idea of losing my 101,010,101,010 score, but also don't like being somewhere in the 20's now... so I figured the best thing to do was keep that as my visible score, but see if I can't add a Trillion to it to get back into the top 10! 

Anyways, I haven't even done one MMC yet, so if I DO keep this game going, it's gonna be a LOOOONG time before I actually finish it.  (I just can't do marathon Hexic sessions anymore).

Oh, and sorry to hear about your game ending Mike - best of luck on that Timed score - that would be amazing!

Almost got the Tic-toc doc achievement but sadly a bomb ruined my game at 71 000 points, really frustrating because I was having a good game. Yesterday I made my first black pearl, something that turned into 3 black pearls over an hour. The game ended at 2 AM when I just had to go to bed, so I made a black pearl cluster.

This game is addicting ''.b

Aww, that's a shame. You could've just quit out and the game would've been saved automatically, meaning you could've gone for the Pooh-bah the next day.

That being said, if you're using the grid and can get that far, it shouldn't be too long before you do it anyway. I don't think you'll have any trouble with Tick-Tock Doc either.

Happy to report that even though this game is not nearly as popular as it once was, the Hexic Gods are still on duty.

Lost my game this weekend after setting up the 64 Billion MMC - ran out of bomb D multi's (stingy freaking gumball machine) and had to resort to traditional bomb d. (Wasn't willing to take apart some of the MMC). Was able to set up D for all but one color - trigger combo, and of course the bomb that drops was that color.

Did a 3 piece combo and got extremely lucky and was therefore able to kill the bomb.  So I get to the next bomb dropping combo, and again the gumball machine gave me 0 multi's during the round.  Set up the traditional D, once again I can only cover 6 colors (same color as last round I can't cover) - but I'm not worried, what are the chances that the Hexic Gods will drop a Pink bomb on me again?

I think we all know the answer to that.  Game over.

No worries - I enjoyed the challenge of setting up the MMC after not having played for so long - so I decided to get back on the horse.  Grid back in place and mining Multipliers once again...

Really? I had no idea you could exit in the middle of the game with your progress intact. I'm sure I will get the tic toc dock eventually, but this particular time I was extremely lucky getting many starflowers. I'm getting better at the game though, and that's a good sign.

Just make sure you back out to the menu before you quit.  If memory serves the great oldtaco once lost a game after accepting an invitation to play another game without backing out 1st. 

And congrats on your advancement - the more you play, the more you understand and the more fun it becomes.

I'm 1 multiplier away from setting up Jammy's 730+ billion BPMMC, I had the chance to trigger it with 20 multipliers and score 367 billion, but decided i want to break the top 10. Other than my general nervousness regarding bomb defense, my xbox has been acting up when playing other games, so I'm scared to play fearing I'll lose all of my progress in Hexic if the xbox crashes. Maybe I'll risk it tomorrow, I'll report back with the outcome.

So after a long hiatus Hexic once again appeals to me.  So last week, I build the 68Billion MMC - am 1 multi away from finishing it when the Hexic Gods mess with me by not dropping any multi's for Bomb D and eventually get me to a point where I'm only able to cover 6 colors for D and of course I get the one color not covered.  Got lucky and killed it anyway - so that must have ticked the Gods off, because the same exact thing happens next bomb round, only that time no luck and my game ends.

No biggie - this is still fun again.  So I fire up a new game and get the Grid up.  Now time to go to my reliable spot to make my inverted Y pearl.  Only it doesn't work - I get a Y.  No problem, I'm comfortable rolling with 2 pearls.  So I make another one - another Y.  WTF?  Gonna have to start over.

Grid in place II - back to old reliable... and another Y... Really?  Crud.  Ok, ok, 2 is still good, try again.  Nope - ANOTHER Y.  "Son of a ...."  Gotta start over.

Grid in place III - Pearl #1? - Y  (the blood pressure is going up now).  Pearl #2 - let's try somewhere else on the board, old reliable must've broke.... Nope, still another Y.  Ok, this shtuff ain't funny anymore!  Start over.

Grid in place IV - 5 stars in place, hold breath and place star #6... Y.  "You good for nothin' so and so..." .. One more try.  Back to old reliable spot.  "C'mon baby, give it to me, you know you wanna..."..... Y.  8 in a row.

5 minutes later I'm re-assuring the kids that, "yes, Daddy's sure the kitty will come back soon" and afterwards explaining to the neighbor why my XBox is in his pool.

I hate this freaking game.  I'm gonna go play on the Wii.
