August 2009 issue -- feedback and discussion
Just got our printed copies today, so subscribers might be getting them soon too. Up on tap for discussion:

Left 4 Dead 2 - An 8-page cover feature hands-on preview with interview, we went to Valve before E3 and got the scoop

Beatles Rock Band - For anybody who doesn't alreayd like the Beatles, we try to answer the question "why should you care?" We went to Boston before E3 and got the scoop.

Splinter Cell Conviction - We went to, yes, Montreal before E3 and got the scoop direct from the design director, who spoke pretty frankly about the game's long dev cycle

Modern Warfare 2 - We went to...you know the drill. Full breakdown of the breathtaking live demo shown at E3, with Infinity Ward interviews.

Now that Wolverine and Ghostbusters show that licensed games don't have to suck, what's next? We have some ideas...

Previews: Shadow Complex, Bayonetta, DJ Hero, GH5, BFBC 2, more

Reviews: FNR4, Overlord II, Velvet Assassin, KOF XII, Halo Wars DLC, Bfield 1943, many others

Straight up Q&A with BioWare's Ray & Greg about the industry in general...and some great silly questions

The return of Serious Sam (and Mike Wilson)

How to set an easy gaming world record

How the Gamerscore system really works -- chased this Microsoft interview story as a direct result of all the confusion that followed the Fallout 3 DLC and RE5 raises

Do you have what it takes to be a videogame guard?

Maybe the easiest 2000 Pennies suggestion ever

The return of Ask Dr Gamer

Did Wolfenstein rip off Prey? and other reader questions

More free stuff to win

End column by Portal writer Erik Wolpaw -- funniest we've run since Tim Schafer's

So...yeah, tell us what you think when you get it.

Re: August 2009 issue -- feedback and discussion
This issue was probably (for me) the best issue of the year.  L4D2, Splinter Cell: Conviction AND Beatles: Rock Band!  Those three games are the ones I'm most excited about and it's packed into one issue.  Awesome!

I've read the L4D2 article and it was great. I was happy to see the introductions to the new characters.  It will be interesting to play L4D in sunshine. Smile [:)]

Yup. I am still reading it and I haven't read an OXM cover to cover (including bottom fillers) in a long time. Smile [:)]

Re: August 2009 issue -- feedback and discussion
Just got the issue in the mail and skimmed through it.. Oh the Serious Sam article on page 84-85.. so it's an XBLA re-incarnation?

Thanks for the $5 off voucher.. I'll definitely resubscribe for only $19.95! My subscription expires in October, so..Smile [:)]

Magna Carta II preview looked interesting.. but what about Magna Carta I? Any chance we will see it in USA?

I saw Tokyo Zombie, it was pretty bad. I don't recommend it.. it's like a B comedy horror movie, and only 30 minutes of it is good because the rest of it takes place in an arena.. *yawn*

I'll read through it more during the weekend when I have some time.. have two tests to study for tomorrow : )

Re: August 2009 issue -- feedback and discussion
The end column had me laughing so hard I nearly fell of the toilet. One of the funniest things I've read in a long time.
When I die, I want to go like grandpa, peacefully while I'm asleep. Not screaming like the other people in his car.
