All my sons friends say he has a cool mum, this is because i play games regularly , host girls v boys international matches and run my own gaming forum. A lot of thier parents still make them come of their consoles after 30 minutes play.
My son keeps a healthy balance between gaming and actually going out socialising with friends .

We have 3 boys all into gaming , well that would be the way with gaming parents..lol but at least it's a hobby we all enjoy .

So where are the other "cool" parents

That's really cool. I wish my Mom was into video games..
Quite a few gaming moms here in the forums, I'm sure they will pop in here sooner or later

according to my son, i'm not cool. because i really stick to the ratings. not only that, because i've educated his aunts on the rating system and its importance. so, i'm actually hated by an angry mob of kids.

I'm a father of three and i've been called a cool parent before...mainly for buying a seperate x-box and live accounts for my kids. realisticly it was to keep them off my account and away from some of the 'eye watering' language that some of my friends use...of course the kids only know that i brought it for them to express my love...god i love the gullability of kids.

well im a mom and i like to consider myself  cool. lol i have two little ones. a handsome two year old with a bad soda habit thanks to grandad, whos name is Atraue and a healthy new born baby girl whose name is Isis. congrats to me huh? me and my husband are both current gamers and enjoy gow alot so if your looking for a gaming couple to get some healthy competition going, come and join our games. shoot em in the heart.

Hey .. I'm a GamerMum :) I have two sons ... 4 and 6 nearly 7 alot of the time my eldest son doesn't really think I'm cool .. .. his friends do though lol ..

since it's the holidays I've been letting him play abit more .. and he too has a balance between sitting in front of a TV or playing the xbox .. he's into sport and hanging out with his mates ..

I can't wait till they're older and can play games that I enjoy playing... M rated FPS

When we having a parents games night then and what will our first game be???

While my mother doesn't actually play games, she does occasionally watch and comment on the game. She'll ask me questions about what I'm doing and which friends I'm with. She's also a big help when I'm playing 1 vs 100 ;).

My kids would argue that I am the "coolest gaming mum".  I have 3 wonderful kidos. Ages 8, 5, and 2.  Two boys and a girl.  My eldest loves to play Portal and N+, the younger ones don't really play much, although we all play Guitar Hero WT and Metallica together.

Well I personally prefer to play CoD4 as well .. but majority have WaW and play WaW out of the people I know .. I don't know why but thats how it is
