I can't remember who won Tier 3 (it was a friend of Gordy's) but I do remember that the winner of Tier 1 was Gordy (after oldtaco pulled himself out of the competition) - Gordy ultimately finished that same game with a score of exactly 2 Trillion if memory serves me correctly...The winner of Tier 2 was SilentxDonkey. (He kinda fell off the planet - I know he got real discouraged with Hexic and swore it off)...Anyway, it would be awesome to see a Hexathon II. Only question is would there be enough interested players?

(i Captin i), Capitalisation might be wrong there...Anyway, it looks like we won't have to worry about Tier 1...but what about the other 2? I suppose we could have an "Elite Hexathon" if nothing else.

I agree, Dog. If another one were to be created, I feel that BPMMCs should only be encouraged. I think even if the game freezes, the score should still count but it'd be interesting to see what others think about that.
Anyone else interested?
Yes, you are correct about the natural progression of the game. My objection to BPMMC's however is that they are, by definition, "ONE SHOT DEALS" - once triggered the game ends. To my mind that hardly falls under the definition of a "Marathon" game. And thanks, I'm still very proud of that score, not so much for the actual amount (101 Billion is "chump change" these days!) but mainly because by ending on a pre-determined score it proved that I ended the game on MY terms, not the "Hexic Gods" terms.

We could rinse and repeat the old Hexathon challege, but make it a Timed mode event as most if not all of us have good Marathon modes. or we could even have Marathon and Timed events/categories?just spouting guys...Anyhoo, good to have you back!
Brassman77 wrote:So how would a timed mode hexathon work? You have 1 month to get as high as you can on the timed leaderboard?(I should probably be a little more careful about using the phrase "get as high as you can" ... no prizes awarded for passing out!)
