Play the game it's meant to be played.
I usually play Annex and people have just stopped going for the checkpoints and just kill kill kill. And everyone on our team leaves so it's 3 on 5 and these people never go for it. It happened 3 weeks ago and two times in a row TODAY. So why don't all of you that do this play the game the way it's supposed to be played? Your going to gt the points that you would doing this during the course of the same time it takes to get all of your cheap kill. We won't even go for the hill because we don't want to deal with it another round!

I know what you mean! I was playing one match of guardian, and my team wasn't as good as the other team, and they just kept killing everyone except our leader. It was quite irritating, considering I could never get to their leader because he was too good. Lol at the post subject btw.

Thanks. But these people need to be punished! It's terrible when everyone else quits then it's practically impossible. The last two teams that did that finally finished the game after they knew we weren't taking any crap and almost cost them the match when it was 3 on 5. But what does it matter when you have 100 kills?  And during that half hour game you would get those many kills anyways but instead of one long game you do it in 3 short ones. Everyone that reads these. Please be as thoughtful of others so that everyone enjoys this game as much as possible. Or you might be doing it outside your video game and someone might actually punch you in the face.

I don't think anyone needs to be punished for doing this. You're asking for forum trouble if you tell people how to play this game. You've still got a point, though. People need to be more considerate, but if you're playing a game involving killing other people, it's bound to get people acting crazy.

Your right, but people should at least submit feedback on these players. It's just ridiculous! And at least in guardian you can take away your own life. In annex well. Let's just say the last game we played was over 1 hour. And on a good night in one hour I can play like 5 games and get over 100 kills. I hope everyone starts being more considerate of other players as you said.

*facepalm*[ouch] I was playing with 2 friends. The other two people quit after 10 minutes of this crap. I stopped playing the game for today, that solves the problem. Also playing different game types. But It's not like I was aimlessly ranting. I posted this so that people can read and know that this is going on and to discourage such acts.

I have gotten into a few games where my teammates have asked if I would not go for rings since it is double XP weekend.  I think that is the main reason.  But yeah it does suck when people go for kills instead of a win.  If you guys ever need another person for Annex/KOTH who actually wants to win the match, hit me up I will roll with you.

Will do Gunner. And I am glad you did the right thing. People don't seem to understand that captures give you more points. I just thought of something though. How about Both teams coordinate to one captures the point, they step off, the other steps in and captures, they step off, repeat. Now then everyone would win. There would be more points, and it would be quicker.  hahaha :P

And I really do think you get more points if you play more matches instead of playing one really long match. Anyone know were I can find how they calculate experience for different game types? I am almost positive that this is fact. But don't take my word on it yet.

Yeah, I played a Annex match earlier and only had 6 kills but ended up with the most points on either team by capturing and breaking points.

Im not being an ** here but its your definition of "how it was meant to be played". What Im trying to say is...

Not trying to be "that guy" because no effort needed. I am that guy, if we ever get paired into a annex (not a gamemode I like at all) I will spend the entire time killing and never going for the circle. The reason why? I play the map packs and get annex every now and then and I just don't want to play annex, so I play it like execution. The thing is when you have just 2 guys max doing this and their at least decent at it, it works to your advantage. Its not about exp or anything like that, if people are trying to get 1/4 of their kills counted for exp then their dumb, its about having fun.

Then I hope you can handle it. And the objective of annex is to capture the hill and get reach the required amount of points before the opponent does. I as well play to get as many kills as possible. But I also make it my main task to get to the hill. And it's not my definition, it is Epic's. Look it up.

Thats the goal, how you play is up to you. If you want to mad rush the hill and get the ahrd capture or sit back with a sniper and cover people, thats the way it was meant to be played for you.
Have you ever had to go against a team that just kills? Its gets annoying fast because you can't get into the circle for very long and they murder becuase their not trying to get a capture so they play different. Even 5 man teams that work like pros usually have one guy with a hammerburst that sits back a little and wounds everything in sight. Its no different.

Why, oh why do people keep doing this to me (rhetorical question)?

Seriously, it's happening more and more lately.  If you're not enjoying yourself in the match, just leave.  No need to *** up your stats when you can just unplug the cord.

People see the big numbers at the end of their "super round" and they get the false notion that it's better/faster than playing annex how its intended.

oh well, i mean they can play how they want right?

Exactly! It just sucks the fun out of it, but I'm going to try to communicate with my teammates so they don't quit when this happens and we can fight back.I also did the math to prove that it makes more sense to play the game as it's intended to be played than to play a super round.

Let's say we are playing Annex so what we would get to points that go towards our experience in accordance to the points we get in the game is a ratio of .23 in accordance to this,

So the formula to find out the amount of experience we would get is .23 x A x B=C
A=Number of points accumulated during the match.
B=Number of games
C=Number of Experience we get

So in a game that lasts 1 hour, you get 10000 points so that would be 2300 experience points that go towards your rank.

Now compared to 5 short games during the in the same amount of time it would take you to have that really long match. And you get 3000 points in each match. 3450 Experience points would go towards your rank.

And since it's double experience weekend then we just double the experience. But still, playing more games rewards you with more experience than playing less and longer games.

I agree with you that people should just play for the win, but unfortunately your math doesn't prove anything. In the single game, they gain 10000 points, but in the 5 short games they are gaining 15000. Of course they would get more towards their total XP if they were gaining more total points. Your math assumes that they will average 3000 per each of the 5 games when if you break down the single game into 5, they are only gaining 2000. You can't base a formula on assumptions, I am afraid.

It may not be 100% but it proves the point that you will gain the same amount of points at least, whether you are playing a long game and not going for the checkpoint or actually going for the win. I used 3000 because it's a small number for Annex. I should have checked if I could find the TOTAL average but from what I have seen the average points people get are around 5000 on annex. The points gained from breaking and capturing the hill are huge bonuses.
