yeah you can. When you get to knothole island, in the main part of town there is a tomb, you just have to lure a npc to the tomb and sacrafice them to resurrect your dog. You get like 5 evil points, no big deal.

Haha, definitely agreed.  I was so angry because it was like "New quest: Archaeologist!" after I beat the game and I didn't have a dog to find the dig spot, so those quests were impossible...
