I just signed up for XBOX LIVE this summer again and my boys who have their on sign in(avatars) on our system are asking me this question. When we go and play XBOX LIVE do they have to sign in using my name, can't they use their own names. Cause when we start to play only my avatar show up to choose from and they want to use their own. I tried looking in forums for this answer but couldn't find it. Any help would be great, ty

They can only sign in and play with their accounts along with yours if: They have gold accounts also, and if the game being played allows multiple users from a single Xbox 360 (eg, Gears of War and Halo).

Yes its a problem and a safty issue that they keep it like it is. (too many things could go way wrong if they do certain things, like give gold to all members on one xbox....but that can be easly remedied too if they think about it for more than two seconds.)
