Seems fine here, but you might want to exit out of the game (saving) to the Xbox LIVE Dashboard, then sign out of LIVE, shut down the console completely. Then shut down your router/modem for about 60, power it back up (DO NOT reset it, just restart) to refresh the connection with your Internet Service Provider. Then sign into LIVE again, launch the game and see how the behavior will be.
The other thing to try, if the above doesn't work, is using the Cache Maintenance as described in this Xbox Support article:
