Right, so I go and turn the faithful ol 360 on yesterday, and wouldn't ya know it the damn thing red rings on me.
However, it only has 3 of the 4 quadrants lit up. I had a look online and it says that if the second quadrant isn't red and the others are then it means the console is over heating.
The problem I have with this is, it's friggin winter and the console hasn't been on for almost a week, so how the hell can it be over heating ?

I did have a thought though, has anyone else had the same thing, and would you think swapping the power supply (the Brick) for another one that we know works would do anything ?

or you could try the get a cooling module - My son's xbox was having cooling trouble, and now with the cooling unit on the back, it's all good. + they're only about $20 at the eb sale which i think is still on.

I would try that, but I can't even get the xbox to do anything... it's not over heating due to it running.... it's saying it's overheating as soon as you turn it on. It's like 4 degrees here... how is it hot when it's not even plugged in ?

Hmmm... I might have to buy a new one then, it's no longer in warranty period. = (
