What do you want in Halo Wars 2?

*** Single Player ***

- Two story modes, one featuring UNSC and one featuring Covenant

- Better story

*** Multiplayer ***

- Make the Arbiter not the most superhuman impossible to kill unit. Take away at least 90 of 100 abilities

- A lot more maps. I’m not game designer, but it seems like it’s a hell of a lot easier to make an RTS map than a regular FPS or 3rd person shooter map. There should be 20 maps in the game. 10 3-on-3 maps and 5 2-on-2 and 1-on-1 maps. Also, you should be able to use some 2-on-2 maps in 1-on-1 and be able to use some 3-on-3 maps in 2-on-2.

- Don’t have any garrisonable spots like the ones on Fort Deen that are right next to the middle base and people can drop ODST or transports there

- Better Covenant units. The banshees are really the only effective non-leader unit. The wraiths should be a lot stronger and almost as strong as the scorpions.

- Make the wolverines less strong. While I love unleashing the amazing Y ability of a bunch of wolverines on a base and watch the base go down in about 20 seconds, they are anti-air units and shouldn’t be that strong

- More free reactors. I love long games every now and then but multiplayer games would be a lot quicker if there were more free reactors, like at least 4 of them on every 3-on-3 map

- Make the scarab bigger

- Make the engineers faster

- Anders should have cheaper upgrades or faster build times, not both

- Get rid of flame throwers and give the UNSC snipers

- Better matchmaking so people get paired up with even skilled players

- More ranks

- In the loading screen for getting into a match it should show who each player is playing as and what their rank is

- Get rid of the Covenant units being able to teleport to their leader

YES

Its an RTS prequel, what do you really expect?

 Couldn't agree more.

I doubt maps are THAT easy to make

- Better Covenant units. The banshees are really the only effective non-leader unit. The wraiths should be a lot stronger and almost as strong as the scorpions.

Covy get more units, therefore they're weaker.

- Make the wolverines less strong. While I love unleashing the amazing Y ability of a bunch of wolverines on a base and watch the base go down in about 20 seconds, they are anti-air units and shouldn’t be that strong

The problem isn't the Matchmaking, its that there's just not enough people to always get even matches. You haven't seen awful matchmaking till you've played Endwar btw. top 5 players in the world got matched against me during my first few games of my life. It'd be like VERMM regularly playing no ranks.

- More ranks

There's enough already imo.

- In the loading screen for getting into a match it should show who each player is playing as and what their rank is.

- Get rid of the Covenant units being able to teleport to their leader

NO. This is one of the few true differences between the factions, reinforces the rush advantage of the Covenant, and adds much needed flavor to the game.

I want them not to make it. Now there is a good idea. LoL JK

But Uum there were some good and not so good ideas here on these posts. I would just simply like a more skillful, balanced, strategy game. Which I know is easier said than done to complete.

more units. it seems that every unit has a double role more or less. warthogs are scouts as well as attacking units. wolverines go from AA to anti building. this is ridiculous IMO.

also, more vareity. what about ranged units? what about melee units? (besides covie leaders)

i especially like ranged units because when i play a RTS, i am a big fan of artillery, and not having artillery in the game is a big downside. i hate having to use cobras as artillery peices. having more units, each with its individual role, would make game better and more balanced, something a bit like starcraft.

also, with uber units having weaknesses. like the scarab being vulnerable from the air etc..

i would also like the game to get rid of rebels because they are just ***. they dont stop you dead in your tracks but they are a pain in the ***

If it costs 3000, it better not have weaknesses. Scarabs can easily be beat with leader powers and swarms of units. Scarabs need a buff, if anything.
i would also like the game to get rid of rebels because they are just ***. they dont stop you dead in your tracks but they are a pain in the *** Thats the point of rebels idiot

What I really want is faster building build times, like C&C

The best advice I could give is to keep on erring on the side of simple controls. Its SO much more relaxing to play Halo Wars than other RTS's because I'm not pulling triggers while I press down on the Dpad then I hold A and group a few units then press LT-BACK-X-A, just to make a group -_-

Commander's Challenge is the only XBL Arcade game worth getting.

This is the only one I have to correct

THIS is bascly the covey Pelcien drop and to be honest is LESS useful then the USNC's transport because they can only do it if their leader is alive and can only go to ther leader.

I agree, the Flamethrowers are useless and would be much more useful if they were BR's and then upgraded to Snipers for their final upgrade. I also think that Reinforcements be included on the disc and that they create some better game modes to replace Tug of War and Keepaway. More maps deffinitely, the 3V3 maps get so boring as there's only three and you play them over and over. And make a better lobby system, letting people party up after games like in Halo 3, and don't have normal and party team playlists, just one playlist where you can enter as a team, also like Halo 3.

The Covenant leaders need to be tweaked, and the Arbiter needs to be completely nerfed. Also, many more units and upgrades, but like on turrets where it is one or the other, so each unit can be adapted to the current situation. Also make the maps more dynamic, like the flood ones where it goes day and night and where you can release the flood, except maybe thunderstorms making it dangerous for Ait units for a period, or rain where it bogs down vehicles.

Why in the heck do you think the Arbiter needs to be nerfed?  To effectively use the Arbiter, you have to stay in rage mode which not only drains your money but it also prevents you from micromanaging anything else.  I think the covenant leaders are fine the way they are.  However, if they do anything at all to the covenant leaders...I'd say the Brute Chieftain could use a little tweaking just to make him a little more desirable to play.  Especially late in the game, he just isn't very effective and he's just one big target.

Becaus, if I have an army of six grizzly tanks, and the Arbiter goes into rage, he can destroy every single one of them without taking any damage himself. He moves to fast to target, does too much damage and then gets healed every time he inflicts damage.

The enemy doesn't need to micromanage when using the Arbiter as he can just munch the entire enemy force.

I've never had six grizzlies lose to an Arbiter.  You're doing something wrong if you lose in that case.  Grizzlies own Arbiters even without the use of canister shell or a distruption bomb.  I love playing Forge for that very reason.

You have six Grizzlys relatively close together, the Arbiter sneaks up with cloak and unleashes himself upon them. He moves too fast for the Grizzly turrets to rotate and hit him, and the damage the machine gun does is counteracted by him getting healed for every hit he makes.

The Arbiter takes a while to kill just one grizzly so its a long time before he gets healed.  Also, if you keep your tanks moving its harder for him to concentrate on one single target which means he'll take longer get a kill to heal.  Anyway, I've never had issues with my grizzlies taking on an Arbiter, even one thats fully upgraded.

Go and look at the sales figures of Halo Wars, then look at who owns the IP, and then listen to the Legendary ending.

They can add multitudes of new material. They added the Locust, the Cobra, the Wolverines, the Cyclops, the Vampires, the Vultures, the Grizzlys and the Hawks, and it was all still canon.
