2K won't update the rosters during the off season and won't update the rosters for 2K9 ever again. However you an download rosters that other people have made.

What he says is true but do note that you cannot take those rosters you download that other people have made and play with them online.

how do you download a roster someone else has made?

So you could download rosters from someone who has made the adjustment for themselves?  Interesting.  I'd like to know how to do that, but I also wonder...what if I just made my own adjustments without downloading from someone else...could I take my own adjusted roster online?  Just wondering.

You can just have a look at all the team trades from the summer and trade those yourself  in the game. I did so.
