I'm having trouble even completing marathon on single player.  Let alone getting the marathon achievements.  Can anyone give me strategies or even a video of someone completing marathon?  Thanks for the help.

OK, I get it now.  I had no idea that different combos took more lines off your total than just doing them 1x1.  I was just doing a shitpile of singles and the highest I could get was level 13.  This should help at ton, thanks for the vids.

Maybe you can help me answer this.  Why is it that I always seem to be the first person with the most received blocks?  I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.  I'll have 19 received and everyone else has like 5.  Is there some sort of block?

They're either faster at clearing than you or they're stopping incoming lines by clearing a double / triple / tetris while their incoming lines meter is showing incoming lines.
