Re: M$ Wheel

the wheel works very well with the game. unfortunately the game doesnt work very well with the wheel.

as far as im concerned, if you are using a wheel then the only way to play racers is by using an inside or bumper view as using an outside view feels too disjointed.

but if you're using an inside view on flatout then you cant see when you're about to get side-swiped by another car and spend a lot of time backwards at the side of the road.

so i find it better to use an outside view and a controller. and save the wheel for forza and dirt.

Thanks for the reply.

I thought it might be a bit hard using a wheel on this but would have been cool if it worked good. Controller is fun though but I thought a wheel would add to the immersion.

Re: M$ Wheel
Personally I find the wheel works great with this game (even with the outside view)... but it did take a lot of practice getting used to it. I've been trying to get the hang of Forza with the wheel, but it seems to require a steeper learning curve. The soft-core sim aspect of Forza seems to require a more precise touch than the MS wheel can deliver. With Flatout though, it's all about going fast, and if you go into a turn a little too fast, just hit something..
