Alan Wake was announced as a pc/360 game so i think that it would unfair if it would notcome to PC...

I bought a new top end rig for this game. i will not buy it if its only xbox 360. I have a xbox 360 but i want to see this game in all its direct x 10 glory not a dumbed down port to a console.

Indeed. I wanted to go to my friends house and watch him activate a tornado and mess with the physics on his gaming rig. Microsoft should not fall into the fanboy trap. So all of the 360 exclusives appear on PC. That's what happens when you support the Windows and 360 platforms. That is like Sony abandoning the PS3 in favor of the PSP. It's heresy to your other buyers.

It's a great focus on the 360 on Microsoft's part not to release it on PC. I remember there being people who were bickering about how always Microsoft would release a game for 360 and it end up on PC months later. So by what everyone says on here, Sony should release all their games on PC too just to make you PC gamers happy. Just be glad you don't have to buy a high-end PC to play a great game. This is what's wrong with some gamers....

Whiel I think it's sort of in bad timing to announce it exclsive 5 years from the announcement which originally was PC only, but remember, it use to be PS3/360/PC. Microsoft picked it up as a publisher and obviously dropped the ps3. But after Gears 1, they sort of put a stop on porting 360 only titles to the pc and in general just not caring about the pc. Granted though, you do have Smith and Tinker working on MechAssault for the 360 and pc despite being published by Microsoft. That will be cross platform play though, they say.

I wish people would stop complaining and just buy the game. I am glad it is only on 360 and I think it will turn out better.

Following the same path as Gears of War 2 i see. Probably an attempt to boost console sales in a way, whilst eliminating the risk of piracy.

Cliffy B said himself that Gears of War 2 won't be released on PC because of piracy.... So my assumption on Alan Wake was based on the same reason because they are both published by Microsoft.

Dude ur totally right! I dont understand why when Microsoft makes alan wake exclusive to 360 every geek comes and cry's how it is wrong, but when sony doesn't release any games for pc and u dont see anybody crying that sony is killing pc gaming! "ITS THAT MICROSOFT ARGGGGG"

But the thing with ps3 is that even 360 is pirated 360 gamers buy more games than ps3 gamers! U can see that in sale charts!

What makes me laugh is when modern warfare 2 comes out and xbox fans says more people play it on xbox 360 then PS3. Thats fine but i bet about 40% of the games being played on xbox 360 are pirate copies not legit like PS3.

Apparently you have never been to the Philippines then, everything and I mean EVERYTHING is pirated. I was watching movies that came out in the theater in the U.S. on blu ray the same day over there, and yes they had pirated PS3 games for sale, and the games only cost a couple of bucks each.

Looking at Rage from Id, it is clear consoles pack some power - in the case of Rage both the 360 and PC version are running at 60fps, however it was not stated what the system was for the PC. Rage and AW look downright amazing.

AW was going to be a Vista only title, when it was announced for PC, now we have Win7 in a few days (along with it being for 360 that is). DirectX 11 hardware is around the corner as well. But now look at the PC game market, while it is not dead, it has many issues. And it is dominated by MMO's and Sims, seems we will have MMO's soon enough on the 360 as well - so what will that do to the already embattled PC market. Other signs pointing to Nvidia concentrating more on other things, may well see ATI and Intel left to battle the PC GPU market. But then again the upcoming Nvidia chips are more akin to Intel's Larrabee than anything else (rumors are still around for Larrabee to be in the next console). Nvidia is going where the money is, and also attacking Intel on a new front (mobile with the Ion, and Tegra(think Zune processor), etc. An amazing amount has changed in the PC market in a small amount of time (been a while since that happened), and while the dev cycle went on for AW I am sure it made sense that for now 360 only was the way to go. Then after getting it out the door, see what the PC market is and work on a port. And who knows, some articles still say it is coming to PC, others say delayed, some say nothing is known.

It makes sense to concentrate on a known system that will sell hopefully for Remedy millions of copies. On the PC we already know about piracy issues, and a small team like Remedy that has poured sweat, blood, and tears deserves to have their game purchased (not copies from a table in the local market in some small country). They are a very talented team, and deserve well for their efforts.

Additionally, maybe the 360 will be cheaper again when AW is ready to go, so that could be a bonus for those on the fence waiting to buy a console.

Check the threads over at the AW forums, you might find better info on what is going on, I have not looked in a few weeks.

Alan Wake was announced YEARS AGO FOR PC. We've been waiting for this game for what seems like an eternity, and when Microsoft gets it's grubby hands on it and makes it an 360 exclusive we shouldn't be angry?

I'm happy AW being on 360 becasue I'm not like most people and buy $3000 PC's. I wouldn't be surprised to see it come out on Windows 7 next year.

Yea...  The game has gone through its share of delays.  The latest pushback I heard was so they could use the new dev kits (this would be mid summer I heard this) to further boost up the games visuals and such.  I am actually glad to see the do that...from what I am seeing it was a good move because the game looks amazing!!
