This solution is only if you bought the game on one console, and are now trying to play the game on another console (whether due to RROD, upgrading to Elite, or other reason), and are logged into Live, but the game is still in trial mode:

1) Start the game as normal

2)  You will see you are in trial mode.

3)  Go to Unlock game option in main menu.

4)  Choose to download the full game.  Wait until it's done.

5)  Important next step, or this won't work!  Choose Continue option (NOT Play Now option), and then choose cancel (B Button). 

6)  If you did step 5 properly, you will return to the game, and after a second or two, the "Unlock Game" will disappear, and you can play as normal (i.e. full version).

Note:  If you choose the Play Now in step 5, the game will reset, and all your hard work is for nothing.

Note #2:  Yes, you have to do this EVERY time you completely quit the game and then start it up again.

Press down so it says return to dashboard and it will be a full game again : )

I'm having the same problem with Streets of Rage 2 and Double Dragon. Just adding to this post so that someone at Microsoft can help address the problem. Not the end of the world, but very annoying...

adding to the post also....lets go microsoft. stop neglecting these XBLA problems and fix it so such steps don't need to be taken to play a game we payed for.

Sorry, but what does the acronym DRM mean? All I know is, I got a new 360, downloaded all the stuff I originally paid for (except for the LEGO Star Wars gamer pics that aren't available anymore ), and now Streets of rage/Double Dragon keep showing up as trial versions when I launch them.

Digital Rights Management, pretty much when you download something it ties it to your account and the console it was downloaded on.

That should fix everything, but I do know there is a problem with a few of the Sega XBLA games(can't remember if this is Sega or not).
